A very good book that is easy to get to know and become involved with the caricatures. I liked the way Aumonier tells this story of a young man who makes one bad decision as a boy and his life's choices from then on. Gaffyn never becomes a hero just a person. Like with may of Auminier's books who was primarily a short story author this one seems to be many short stories about one person breaking down the different time lines. However unlike his short story's in Just Outside the past occurrences and people in Gayffyn's life continue to be a clear part of the whole story and lend weight to his future and return later adding finality to the caricatures and story.
