I finally broke down and bought this book after Pathology was done, just because I loved it so much and I think I might use it as primary study material for the boards. Damjanov organizes material exactly like my path instructor, and breaks things down into logical bits of why and how, and does so in the format of question and answer, which is how I learn best. I had been taking the old edition out of the school library until someone else managed to get ahold of it. The new edition apparently has fewer charts (according to another review, I didn't count) but is printed in two colors and has Key Point breakout boxes. Much flashier. Either edition would do you well, in my opinion.

I bought this a week before my final exam and had enough time to go through the chapters included! It's a wonderful book for those who want to understand rather than memorize Path. The way each concept is explained and broken down into bits makes Pathology make all the more sense! If you're a first year who is struggling with Path, this tiny book is definitely right for you, you won't be sorry for buying it! ❤
