God knows the debilitating effect fear has on His people. In this powerful Bible study authors Wayne and Joshua Mack show that by thinking the same way as an unbeliever you're imprisoned by misplaced faith. By guiding you through God's Word they help you realize the resources that are available to you in Christ. By explaining God's game plan, they take you to the heart of the problem, getting face to face with fear so you can throw off the shackles that bind you.
Wayne Mack lives in Pretoria, South Africa, where he serves as a pastor-elder with his son-in-law and teaches biblical counseling at Strengthening Ministries Training Institute to pastors and aspiring pastors in the region. He also spends about six weeks in the USA teaching at various churches. He and his wife, Carol, have four adult children and numerous grandchildren.
Best Bible study book I've done with a small group - ever. Mack is very unapologetic in an increasingly ashamed-of-our-faith Christian world. He's a breath of fresh air and his insights are radically life changing. Don't start this study unless you're ready to take it seriously.
Excellent study and thorough examination of scriptures to help you overcome fear of people (which we all have to some degree) and live in the power of Christ to do what he's called us to do and be who he has called us to be.
Originally I gave this title 4 stars. I am revising my stars to zero.
The reason I am doing so is that since reading this title, several things about my faith journey and expression have changed and I no longer subscribe to evangelical ideologies.
The Fear Factor is a very pointed book that deals with fear in a way that makes so much sense and helps you understand how to make a difference in the way you think.
