A creative and engaging (semi) fictional novel offering insight into the benefits of approaching interpersonal relationships with honesty, both with oneself and ones friends. The author highlights that what we teach is what we most truly need to learn ourselves. In this case Friedrich Nietzsche and Joseph Breuer engage in what turns into a mutually beneficial clinical engagement during which each attempts to assist the other in overcoming and understanding their various neurosis. But each man travels vicariously through the other during their own healing process, eventually leading to their own understanding of their own flaws and the reason for their actions.
