She particularly loves the tension created when the paranormal world touches our real world. Her work is mostly set in Delaware or Massachusetts, the only two places she knows well enough to set fiction.

I found myself submerged in a world of fairy fantasy while reading this book. Ms. Richards provides a playground of excitement with magical elements that draw the reader deeper into the story.

I enjoyed this story for several reasons. One of which was that I had not read much about fairies or the inner workings of their world until this piece. I learned about several types of fairies and found myself drawn to Alex in a nurturing sort of way, wanting to ease his pain. I found it humorous, to say the least, when he realized he could communicate with the cows. I hope the author explores the relationship and antics of Alex and Katelyn in future projects. I would like to see more of them and other works by Ms. Richards.

Box of Cows features a fairy with an identity problem living as a Human. When his day is interrupted by escaped Cows, the reality of his life seems to be about to overwhelm him.

A fun story, full of whimsy and smiles. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me was the length - I wanted more dammit!
