'We will all rise,' Zoran warned while all around him burned. 'There will be other times, other places - a million other willing souls!' With a heart twisted by the lust for new lovers to destroy, new souls to connquer and a desire for revenge against Tania, the Dark Angel can take any shape, inhabit any body. He will lie low until the time is right. The battle against the Dark Angel isn't over.

I was a little disappointed by the book. The story was almost a mirror as many other reviewers have said of the first book. I don't feel Grace grew as a character and Orlando is bloody annoying and unlikable as her boyfriend. It had a lot of premise I felt and I did like the twists even if some where predictable. I will be waiting for book 3 as I do like Eden Maguire's style of writing I just hope we see character development and maybe find out some new things as we see a new location. Again this book is suitable for most teens and upwards - 3 stars from me!
I didnt enjoy this as much as the first one, only because the story was very similar and i feel the location should have changed but i really enjoy Maguire's way of writing. Short, sharp burst of story without filler or crap to weigh it down. And the twist was a good one. Im looking forward to seeing what happens next time. 5/5
Between the cheesy cover and the uninspired titles, this series really shouldn't be of any interest to me. But I absolutely LOVED Eden Maguire's Beautiful Dead series, and the first book in this new trilogy, Dark Angel, surprised me by keeping my attention through to the end. This second book in the trilogy starts off with a much more powerful bang, and keeps with the intense action and emotion that I expect from such a great author.
Tania is back and hanging out with celebrity types. Last time it was Zoran, the teen rock star. This time, it's Zeigler and Amos, the film-maker and his crowd of juvenile delinquents. I can't imagine a scenario where a group of bad kids comes into a town to be mentored by good kids and some sort of trouble doesn't start up. But even with the very predictable plot, I enjoyed this story.
Where there were a few intense scenes in the first book, this one has a LOT of nail-biting, uber-emotional, impactful bits. Including the final scene. These books would make for a pretty intense bunch of teen movies! I also appreciated that Tania's psychic episodes were dialed down a bit. They were not nearly as interesting as the other things that were happening in real time. Jarrold was a confusing character, making me swoon for his angst one minute, then feel repulsed by his attitude the next. I am curious to see if he shows up in the next book, making a case for a better boyfriend than the less-than-attentive Orlando.
The Dark Angels were after Grace in the first book, Holly in this book, so I can only guess that they will go directly towards Tania in the third. Looking forward to reading Broken Dream.
This is the exact same story as the first book! It took me ages to read because I was so bored. There were so many obvious mistakes and even a continuity error which really annoyed me. Also I can not stand Orlando.
TORTURE. Just plain torture. It's so repetitive and Tania is such a stupid character, I mean seriously? The story line is exactly the same as the first book, except it's her other friend Holly's turn to be brainwashed by devils. You'd think Tania would be able to suss out what's going on sooner. But nope, she runs about like a headless chicken just like she does in the first book when her friend Grace gets brainwashed by devils. What a Horrible waste of reading time! I wish I didn't pick up these series because now I have to read book 3 don't I? Or else I'd be a quitter. And the torture continues on to Book 3: Broken Dream
enjoyed this book as i did the first, grips your attention all the way through and always makes you wanna read more and not put the book down cant wait to read the last one
Okay so this book wasn't terrible. It was actually not that bad. I just felt like I was reading the first book again with just a minutely different setting. Like, how stupid can you be? What is that oh so popular saying? 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me'. Tania knew all of the warning signs, she knew the dangers, she felt like something was off and yet she still insisted on hanging out with these people. How naive can one person be?
Along with her stupidity, I felt absolutely no emotional attachment to Orlando. When I wasn't hating the guy for being such a mopey, controlling dick I was wishing he would just disappear and decide his love for Dallas is stronger than his 'love' for Tania. That relationship is unhealthy. Get out while you can guys.
If the last book taught me anything it is that the main suspect, as the leader of the group, would not be who Tania believed it to be. While Maguire tried to frame Amos it was obvious from the beginning that it wouldn't be him. Rather than the plot twist Maguire tried to spin it would have been a bigger plot twist if he had actually revealed that Amos was the leader. I feel that she just tried too hard to get the reader to suspect Amos that it actually had the opposite effect.
That being said, this book wasn't terrible. It was a quick read that I feel would be appreciated more by younger readers or those who are just entering the world of YA fiction. It was easy to blitz through and I can see why other people would love this book (regardless of my feelings of it).

i mean i actually thought jarold was a really nice ,but to find that he was one of the dark side it left me broken hearted,i think my soul shattered when i realized this it was just tooo depressing to watch
this really is a good book if you haven't read it;you are a lost so
I really did try my hardest to finish the book but after half way I could't take it anymore it was BORING. Don't get me worng I usually give books a chance until the very end but it lost my interest and got a bit confusing at times.
I was quite disappointed with this book. The previous novel, dark angel, was good enough to keep my attention until the end but I gave up on twisted heart. It is a good idea but just did not live up to my expectations.
Although I enjoyed the book it was too similar to Dark Angel and therefore a little laborious. the excerpt from the next books looks promising with a different location :D
Great book, full of twists and turns, i kept thinking i knew who the dark angel was but ended being proved wrong each time. Can't wait for the next book :D
To be honest it's true that both first and second book were very similar but I truly enjoyed reading it and I just love it when Orlando stuck up for Tania.... Hope u enjoy it too
I didn't read the first book so I was kinda confused in the first few pages. But then I start to follow the plot and the flow of the story and It's pretty awesome. I can really feel the twist and turn (typical with Maguire) and I enjoy this
