A basic overview on classroom and behaviour management. I read the 6. ed., which was very well structured and gives lots of practical advice. I especially liked the hierarchy for management intervention (p. 189), ranging from nonverbal interventions and verbal interventions to logical consequences.
The extensive lists of references after every chapter are another plus.

Good read for new teachers.

I highlighted lots of stuff throughout, some seemingly meaningless, and one that any educator will validate: "Discipline problems are significant contributors to job-related stress and doubts about career choice and professional competency." (31) If only I truly understood the concept *then* but experience is the best teacher.
