Rate this book
This book of weird and wonderful short stories explores the deeply strange world of ordinary people - the retired couple that produce poison pen letters on an industrial scale, the man whose car runs on air, the woman who undermines and destroys her neighbour, an innocent man sucked into a world of crime, an incriminating message left on an answer phone. Each story comes with its own twist which will keep you guessing until the very last moment.

Short stories

This was the first book I have read with lots of short stories. If you like this sort of thing it's a good book. Some of the endings are a bit predictable, but it's not a bad read.

Disclaimer- These are my absolutely favorite style of short stories; ever since I first read A Twist in the Tale by Jeffrey Archer.

These are 36 Amuse-bouche tales. Some are funny, some are sad, some are surprising but all are wonderful.

Sweet

Unchallenging fun little reads, all beautifully written. Very different to my normal tastes and a very welcome breath of fresh air.

Lovely mix of short stores

I really enjoyed these stories. There were some that had me crying with laughter, while others gave me pause for thought. All i could think was that just a few more words would be great (even though they are short stories). Among my faves in the collection were Deliverance, The Pervert, Deadline and The Frenchman, to name just a few.

I enjoyed this collection of short stories. Fairly well written. "twisted" caught my eye, thinking this was a horror story collection, but "twisted" meant plot twists and (usually) unexpected endings. Good stories. Good Read.
