Fourth of July made easy...

Before kids are ready to memorize dates and placed in history class they want to participate, and understand what the adults are celebrating, and why there are fireworks in the night sky... This makes the fourth of July easy for little ones to understand... It's America's Birthday.

A very basic quick read for young inquisitive minds. It lets them know picnics, flags, a parade and fireworks, as well as a few historical figures, are mainstays of the holiday.

July 4th Parade of Stars

July 4th is America's birthday. The Sesame Street gang are going to have a parade and picnic. Elmo made a flag. Grover thinks the fireworks are sparkly and bright.
This is a great first book introduction to Yankee Doodle Dandy. The illustrations are Sesame Street worthy. The storyline is easy to follow with knowledge scattered throughout. I know this will become a new favorite to your Holiday.
