It's time for Chick to meet the world! Join in the fun as he emerges from his egg and meets his mummy. Follow him through his very first day - right up until he snuggles down under his mum's wing at bedtime. In a clever parallel to the daily routine and anxieties of a toddler, this funny and delightful novelty combines Ed's signature bold colours, lovable characters and graphic simplicity. Seven kinetic pop-ups move from the spine of the book as the pages are turned making this clever novelty strong and sturdy for the very young.

Great for the crawler-to-toddler set, enjoyable for the reader-to-the-crawler-to-toddler set. A favorite in turn of both my son and daughter. Pop-ups are reasonably sturdy, but you'll still need to keep your eye on the little ones (we had to buy a second copy). As you can tell from the rest of the reviews, everyone loves the poop wheel. When your approximately twelve month old becomes capable of working it, you will be filled with more parental pride than any childless person would expect of your baby's ability to make the chick poop.
This boo would be for nursery school/ foundation (lower ability) stage. It is interactive as the pictures pop out and you can twist certain parts to make new pictures appear. Potentially, it could be used to teach about chicks and what they do e.g. they peck at food and a chick's mother is a chicken etc. This book is quite basic only involving roughly 3-5 words a page so can be used as a beginning point of reading, but is too basic for older years.
A great colourful, pop up storytime. I wish it cam in a bigger format. There are really neat sound such as the chick eating (pecking sound) that can be practiced with the audience. Parents laughed at the Chick pooping. Children really want to touch the pop ups which can be challenging.
a pop-up book. cute. the chick poops thing may or may not cause mayhem during program. Order pub house said choking hazard not for under three when I considered ordering it - not entirely sure what they would be choking on - looks the same as any other pop up book.
This book goes through the life of of a chick. It's also a pop up book which is pretty awesome! This book can teach children about what happens through the life of a chicken in a very simple and understanding way for young kids.
The book Chick by Ed Vere is about a chick being born. This is a pop up book so it keeps little kids entertained. This would be a good book to help preschoolers and kindergarteners with word recognition.
a pop up book with few words about a newborn chick who eats poops and sleeps. Vivid colors with fun interactive pop ups make this a great one for charlie.
