The White House in Miniature

Rate this book
John and Jan Zweifel's meticulous recreation of the White House is captured in full-color illustration. Considered to be one of the world's greatest miniature houses, the replica is the result of over 30 years of research and construction by the Zweifel family. The tiny, working telephones, hand-carved chairs and tables, and miniature carpets that reproduce the original stitch by stitch, are all proof of great craftsmanship and minute attention to detail.

Great pictures, good at showing detail. I saw this in person years ago at the Truman museum and I was afraid the book couldn't do it justice. So well done.

What a fabulous book. It will interest the dollhouse hobbyist, the White House historian, Simone that follows the presidents, really anyone interested in the history of the United States. The history of the White House is displayed in this book in ways you don't normally see!
