Rate this book
A roll call of some of the most frightening, cold-blooded murderers the world has ever known. This book tells the fascinating stories of how they were brought to justice. The detectives involved in each case recall in detail how they go inside the minds of these brutal killers., doggedly following the twists and turns of each murder trial, whilst also having to cope with the pressures from the media, their bosses, politicians, victims’ families, and not least the effect on their own personal lives. Compulsive, compelling and shocking, this dramatic book puts the detectives center stage and paints a vivid portrait of life in the homicide police department, and for the first time tells the inside stories of how these terrible cases were solved.

I am one of those people who love true crime tv shows, and real life crime and forensics.
This book caught my eye as I had heard of the murderers but didn’t know the stories behind their capture. Only one of these happened in Australia which I knew about, but not the details as is written about here. As soon as I saw some of the names on the back, I knew I was meant to read it. Some of these murderers have been referenced in the tv show ‘Criminal Minds’ (which I love) because of the way they went about killing people.
It was a quick and easy read although some of the content could be deemed graphic, gory or grisly.
