This was a well written concise description of many of the hardships faced by the Donner party.

While visiting Lake Tahoe, I happened to find myself in Truckee, Nevada. After seeing numerous "Donner" signs, I inquired in the local town museum (which was excellent)if the signs were connected to the Donner Party. It was eerie! This was an interesting account of the efforts to find evidence of the stories told over the years.
