Franklin the turtle is a little boy and has an ordinary 'little boy life' with a best friend, Bear and other friends that he often does things with. A little sister Harriet. His stories are about him learning the ins and outs of growing up. My children and I have always enjoyed his stories.

In this book he reads in a magazine that a contest to continue to do something for five hours and you can win the contest. Each of his friends know what they want to do except Franklin. So as he thinks about it he can not come up with anything. Until the day of the contest and the man sees Franklin 'thinking'... who out of his friends will win the contest?

This isn't one of the best stories but it isn't one filled with whinning or arguments either.
