I’m disappointed I purchased this book. In the first paragraph the author stated the target audience to be Advanced High School student entering college, or first year college students. I knew I was immediately in trouble. I was expecting a book for “dummies”; myself. I was hoping for concepts to be broken down using simple terminology providing big picture overview of biology concepts. Instead, the book floods the readers with new terms to consume and immediately apply while also going into excess detail. Sentences quickly became VERY hard to follow.

I’m sure this book is great as a quick refresher for someone who was already taught biology... not for “Dummies”. Luckily it’s a quick read.

Easy Read

Was an informative easy to read book. I liked how short the chapters were. I wish it had more pictures. Overall I would recommend it as a good quick review of major biology topics. :)
