King Solomon's Journey

Rate this book
Unaware of the existence of the other, Anthropologist, Antonio Dominguez and Spiritualist, Amanda Messenger have inadvertently lived parallel lives.
They have studied the mysteries and history of the ancient people of the earth, the ties that bind past and present, and have sought to understand mankind's deepest meanings, now they have been led onto a path that will take them into the past, present and future.

Drawn together by fate, they have uncovered 3.000 year old scrolls, which have lain protected since King Solomon first sent them up the Rio Grande, within the confines of the mysterious Hidden Mountain. Ancient and valuable in their own right, the scrolls hold the key to unlocking the gates that will save humanity from approaching catastrophe.

Hunted by evil forces —who will stop at nothing to keep them from revealing the answers—Antonio and Amanda find themselves on the run and up to their necks in trouble as they race against time to solve the King’s mysteries.

In an adventure full of high-octane action and sensual mysteries as old as time, Sammy Sutton tackles all the issues your mother warned you never to discuss: sex, politics, and faith. With a complexity of depth and vivid characterization that is rarely seen within its genre, King Solomon’s Journey is the story of a sultry race on track to save the world.

I read, and enjoy the study of world religion, ancient cultures, and social structure. I take pride in my eclectic 'flower child' views, believing in brotherhood and human compassion outside of government.

These days, I spends my time writing, reviewing and adapting to an ever changing blueprint called life. I am a strong advocate for children, and have devoted a great deal of time to children caught within the social system.

King Solomon's Journey (The Dominguez Adventures) thoroughly entertains on two levels. I enjoy fiction that teaches me something interesting in the process. As you might expect from the title, we learn quite a bit about King Solomon's life and his role in history in this novel. But author Sammy Sutton consistently weaves these bits of information within the context of the story without interrupting the flow or stopping the action. She added timely relevance by linking this side of the novel to the prediction of cataclysmic events on 12/21/12.

I am normally not a reader of romantic fiction. But I was very taken with the way the protagonist, Dr. Dominguez, related to Amanda Messenger. Their many differences made for very believable tension, yet the way they complemented each other's perspective in the main storyline led me to actively root for them as a couple. Their independence and unique voices made for a quality read.

King Solomon's Journey has a new facelift that is well worth reading again. If you like books that have realistic characters who can spout knowledge because they have the age, education, attitude and outlook to have believably done those things, then KSJ is the perfect book for you.
Sammy Sutton has taken the bones of King Solomon's Journey and refitted all the muscle and sinew into a fabulous read! The initial meat of the story is the same; yet, the dynamics, the rich text and sensual flow have been rearranged, rewritten and now fully encompass the detailed character lives. King Solomon's Journey is a story of the opposing outlooks of a clinical, scientific anthropologist, Antonio Dominguez and his realistic and beautiful new partner, the mystical and spiritual Amanda Messenger. As they join together to understand the messages left for those of our generation by the magical and wise King Solomon of old, they must overcome thinking within the box, throw the flaps wide and jump whole-heartedly into the world of the other-worldly!
With dialogue that sets the fast pace of discovery, scenes that draw you into the private and often times quite sensual debates on the validity of the Scrolls Message, the entire book leaves you with that sense of completion that only comes with complete satisfaction!
Read it and see, you will find laughter, tears, magic, suspense, drama, sensual interludes, past-present-future chaos, Native American mysticism, male and female interaction that is true to their genders, spiritual healing, faith and hope, and you will find lives that allow you to live and move vicariously through them with ease and pleasure!

This story began for me almost a year ago now. I was commissioned to help Sammy with her novel in the final stages of its production. As we attempted to move through some of the struggles which were encountered over the summer months we grew closer, like family. Now this story has become a huge part of my life. It is a story of two people evolving, discovering each other and the adventures ahead. This too has become the story of my life. I can't help but think that without this amazing book and Sammy, I wouldn't have found my path. Truth be told, I wouldn't have, maybe never. The pages of King Solomon's Journey changed my life forever. Given the chance it will change your life too.

Sammy Sutton book King Solomon's Journey, was a real page turner. I simply couldn't put it down.

From the first page to the very last I was drawn into the lives, characters, and plot of the book. King Solomon's Journey is packed with action, passion, and intensely woven plot.

If you are interested in Archeology, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Adventure, or the Ancient mysteries you will love this book.

From first to last you are compelled to follow the characters on their journey of discovery.

I cannot wait for the sequel.

The premise of this book was intriguing, but the characters and dialogue were unnatural-sounding to me. The story just didn't catch and hold my interest.
