I need to do some research on the sugar life for a project, so I picked up this book. I guess my biggest problem with it is that David's experiences, while technically sugar, seem to lie at the seamier side. Not many of his conquests actually turn into long-term sugar arrangements that illustrate the more positive side of the lifestyle. Most are pay-to-play and not much different from using pros, except maybe he has dinner with the girls in question. His need to constantly be picking up strange women is more a compulsion than a desire to have a side thing going, as he admits frequently. Still, he provided me with the information I needed, and for that, I thank him. Now reading Goal Digger to get the other side.

A Fun Read

David is a cad, but an extremely likable one. A fun rollicking ride, and had answers to many questions about this lifestyle.

This book has set the whole blueprint for my dissertation. Not only was it extremely interesting, but it was a light read and I found myself really being able to connect with David's writing - even though it's not relatable to me at all! Overall, it was really engaging and the fact that I read it in just over 24 hours demonstrates that. It's going to be so useful for the inspiration of the screenplay I'm writing about SDs and SBs.
