A very nice easy read.
Which is once again surprising, because on top of all the stuff from the previous book this one also has "fighting the criminal underground and slavers while confronting your own past and identity".
And it still qualifies as light reading.
I was impressed.
And entertained

I loved it. It was a very sweet and easy read. No high drama or death of beloved characters. Problems with easily found solutions. It was just what I needed light and enjoyable. Tigh and Jame have a strong relationship and I’ve enjoyed the creative solutions the come up with to solve the problems they face.

I enjoyed this sequel but there seemed to be almost too much going on. Don't get me wrong, it all came together in the end but there were a few times I shook my head and thought, "wow, how can all of these things happen to them one right after the other?"

But like I said, I did enjoy it and absolutely plan to read the next in the series.

4 stars. This series is quite cozy. That's not to say that Jame and Tigh don't go through things because they definitely do (especially in this book) but it's never too heavy or stressful which I appreciate. Just really fun adventures and a lovely romance. I'll get to book three soon.
