Even happy occasions would not cause exuberance to a Stoic if you believe the popular picture painted of them.
That is, however, not the whole truth about the philosophy of Stoicism. While patience certainly is a virtuosic principle, it was only one of a whole list of virtues necessary to be a good human being according to the Stoic philosophy.
