This is a great informational book for young children. It is very detailed with lots of pictures, graphs, and facts about worms. I learned a great deal about worms after reading the book, and I know that my students will find it very interesting as well. I would include this book in my class bookshelf as well as have it available as a resource for a research project on worms. It has very clear graphics and labels that support the descriptions.
I would use this book to show students how they can include graphics and graphs to aid their audience's understanding, when writing an informational piece.
A fascinating CCSS Text Exemplar (K-1). I just learned more about worms than I ever have before....and this book is for Kindergarteners! Now, that's a mark of a quality informational text book! :)
Complete with diagrams, captions, glossary, and an index!
