In many ways not as good as the first two in the series. Too long/drawn out and too much focus on the "battle". More focus on the personal stories would have been better. They were there too, and the best part of this book, but the other parts were just too much, too long.
Not unlike the other duo in this Trilogy, The Mockingjay was difficult to put down. I really didn't like it as much as books 1 & 2, but it was absorbing and entertaining. Now I am all excited about the movie due out in March. I have seen the trailers and they have done an excellent job of casting Katniss...she looks just like I would imagine her. Was also excited to see that the sets looked much as I had visualized. I'm so glad that my daughter and granddaughter talked me into reading these books. Very different from my usual fare, but fun and very well written.
