About the author

Alan Snow is a prolific English author and illustrator, celebrated for his intricate visual storytelling. After studying at Salisbury College of Art, he illustrated over 160 books and contributed to animation and video game design. He is most famous for the Ratbridge Chronicles, particularly the 2005 novel Here Be Monsters!. This richly illustrated work, set in a fantastical Victorian world, inspired the 2014 Academy Award-nominated stop-motion film The Boxtrolls.

I only read this to Asher (5yo) as it was far too detailed for Dex (3yo). It's the story of how cats and dogs are aliens and how cats have come to earth in search of dogs to pester. Lots of schematics. Very fun if you got a good attention span.

Cats are from space and have come to Earth to take control over humans. The story sounds fun, but it was just okay. The illustrations, however, were cute and fun.

So weird, and kind of hard for your average picture book reader to read, but I bought it immediately for my cat-loving brother and it was a hit!
