Erotica and Sex has been in the news ever since it started years ago and Roland Westwood is about to make a movie that will blow all pornography away showing erotica in a different way. Roland is determined to show that his movies, especially his next one Destiny will be more than just porn. The problem is there is no one that meets his expectation of what the leading character of the whole series Elektra should be like has come forward to audition. He knows someone out there is someone that can be the passionate, bloodthirsty and seductive Elektra. Just when he’s about to give up an angel comes his way, blowing his breath away and for the first time making him feel love for the first time. He knows that he’s found Elektra but the thing is there are sex scenes in this film, and he cannot let this woman do those scenes. As a man in love for the first time, Roland is determined to not let romance interfere with his movie business. Or can he?
This is it; the big break Valerie has worked hard for the problem is it is for an erotica movie. She’s worked in a couple small parts like movies and commercials so this one is kind of freaking her out . She knows that if she lands this job her name will bring success if only she can get past the sex scenes. What she didn’t count on was the attraction to its director Roland. Valerie knows it looks wrong to have a romance with him or anything else only because of their age difference. People talk and they’re definitely talking like she is a gold digger and slept her way as the lead. How can she prove to everyone that she is the right person, and how can she prove to Roland that her love is real?
Melodee Aaron writes predominately in the subgenre of science fiction (hard), but she also works in fantasy, paranormal, historical, and contemporary settings.
Often, these subgenres are blended together in her stories with interesting results. After all, is it unreasonable for an advanced civilization to have pyrokinetic abilities that are provided by instrumentation? Ditto for shape shifters?
Many of Melodee's works involve the concept of "polyamory". The idea of polyamorous love—true romantic polyamorous love—between more than two people has long been a hallmark of Melodee's stories and her fresh take on the subject goes far beyond the traditional ménage and simple three-way-sex common in so much of erotica and erotica romance.
In addition to erotica romance, Melodee also writes erotica and screenplays for mainstream and adult films.
This book may have been written and first published four years ago, but for some reason the author sent it to me for review and I am glad she did. It was quite a story--very erotic and lots of steamy love scenes, but the important factors in the story were 1)the May/December romance between Valerie (26 years old) and Roland Westwood, owner of Midnight Interlude studios and aged 46. Their love affair wasn't begun on the casting director's couch. Valerie wasn't that kind of person and had actually turned down audition prospects because it became evident that the couch was a part of the deal. Living in her car for three months and facing the repossession of her vehicle, Valerie took a casting call that sat her down in Roland's office--he interviewed all the actors himself--and he gave her a chance to read, to be filmed, and to be interviewed for a new series of erotic romance adult films he was beginning--not porn, but love stories with graphic sex where the story was the thing. Desperate to survive and really liking that the film was designed to tell as romantic/paranormal/vampire tale, she agreed to accept a contract. Her attraction to Roland was immediate but she refused to make any "play" for him because that wasn't who she was. He found out that she was homeless, loaned her the money to get her car out of hock, gave her a place to stay, and their friendship began. But this is also the story of Valerie's development as an actress who was, by the way, very good, but who just hadn't caught a break. Now she brought her character alive, but she also found that she was able to help the other actors when they "froze" or got frustrated or needed some extra coaching to do well. Valerie and Roland's love story is certainly hot and passionate, but it is also a story of these two people as they found new challenges in their lives and became better people in the bargain. I found it to be a very delightful read!
This book left me feeling some kind of way.. It was wonderfully written. Had great sex. Much vulnerability by both people. A good storyline. It had it all. There wasn't much conflict except for what youwould expect from a 26 yr old female and a 46 year old male. There was a few parts that I hought unnecessary, but all and all a great book....
As for that feeling.. still haven't figured it out..
