2000 Gitarren: Die ultimative Sammlung

Rate this book

Stringed instruments resembling the modern guitar date back 5,000 years! Most have six strings, but others have anywhere from four to 12 strings depending on the model and the player. Some are simply styled and made of wood, while others are incredibly embellished with lots of added effects. See them all—2,000 of them, in fact—in the ultimate pictorial guitar collection: 2,000 Guitars. You want guitar heroes? Discover all of the legendary guitar makers, from Gibson and Gretsch to Fender and Ibanez, and learn how classic models evolved and who played them. The incredible array of featured instruments are arranged alphabetically by maker/manufacturer for easy access. For convenient browsing, sections are further organized by subdivisions, including solid-bodied guitars, semi-solid-bodied guitars, acoustic guitars, and bass guitars. Clean, modern spreads showcase thousands of full-color photographs of the world’s most coveted guitars, including antique instruments like a Wornum Lyre guitar from 1810. This rockin’ catalog profiles famous guitars like the colorful Fender Stratocaster, hand-painted by George Harrison and used in the Magical Mystery Tour, B.B. King’s beloved Lucille, and Brian Setzer’s swingin’ Gretsch Nashville.
