A decent young adult basic introduction to the Arthurian legend. Includes all the original stories in primary form without embellishment. Which unfortunately would make this of less interest to young adults or the general population. Includes a study guide. Might be a good starting point for adults with an interest. Illustrations while drawn fairly well are very dark.

The reason i gave this book a four star was because this book was a good book and it had lots of fighting in it and i kinda like fighting. the reason I didnt give it a five star was beacuse it was kinda comfusing and lots of things was going on at one time and was going very fast.

Certainly a good summary of the legend itself, though it missed some elements of Arthurian legend such as Morgana, and short stories of each knights themselves. The art style certainly suits the theme, and the use of colours are simple and pleasing to the eyes of the readers

I’ve heard tales of King Arthur and the knights of the round table. It was nice to have some visual to go with the story. I liked the pace of the story and I learned some new things about the legend that I didn’t know before. Not bad for a dollar store comic :)

This bood starts off with a war that happened a long time .then a king had a baby but the New people would come after him so he gave her s kid to a man to keep him safe.the kid was dieing so he had a sword put in a rock of magic.he said "the person that can pull this sword out would came come the king.thousands of man could not do it .but a king came out of no where pull out the sword.after everyone said calling him King Arthur of Camelot.the Arthur fight his first war and won where one was celebrating then one day a wizard name merline came and told him he did a stronger sword that would not break he told him about Excalibur,I sword that would not break.they want to a cane to get Excalibur from the lady of the lake.she gave him the sword after that he never lost a war with Excalibur.but then his friend Lancelot got kidnapped they took him to a old place to fight to be free.he fought everyone then get got out and made his way back to King Arthur.he told him the story then a cup came out of no where.people wanted the cup,the lady of the lake him to them and told galaned to come with him to keep the Grail in a new place.after a year a war broke out King Arthur and his man was losing what where the going to do?

I decided to read this book because when i was in the library looking for something interesting to read, I found this graphic novel and i told myself to give it a try. I like to read about medival times and so i thought there is no way better other than reading it by pictures to explain the story and i read the book.

This is a Graphic Novel. This category was interesting because the book i was reading was about King Arthur which also is part of history.

" I must leave you Arthur. It is time for you to be on your own." I liked this quote because Merlin is leaving Arthur to rule Britain but they don't tell you where he is going.

I learnt from this graphic novel that when people you love leave you in the time of your need it is very hard to cope in that situation because you have no support.

Lancelot is my favourite charccter because i think he is very brave and a trustworthy person. He is a very risk taking person and has a lot of potential in him.He is also very skilled in arms and chivalry and is the king's champion. This is why i like him a lot.

Graphic novel version of King Arthur that seems to have been designed strictly to market at librarians/teachers. The weak discussion questions in the back and other lacking aids support that theory.

Take everything you know about King Arthur, Guinevere, Merlin, Lancelot, Elaine, the Sword in the Stone, Gawain, and the rest of the Legend folk and then try to turn it into a decent graphic novel. It's a big challenge that this book isn't up to. Some solutions would have been to make it a hearty book, turn it into a set of maybe 6, or pick one story and tell it. This book decided to jam it all into 60 pages. That's why it is what it is: bare bones meh.

I wish I could tell you it was awesome. I don't know what I should--or want to--know about King Arthur. This book didn't help with that. So unless Prince Harry wants to stop by with some notes, I'm going to have to find a better source. Same goes for you.

King Arthur and his Knights o the Round Table have had there story told in practically every medium available since the 14th Century. Now add graphic novel to that list. The different chapters of ye graphic novel retell the different chapters of king Arthur's story. Nothing is left out and some of the more complex ideas and scenarios are still in the story. For example, Elaine and her father King Pelles still trick Lancelot into having a child with Elaine. In te graphic novel however this is all done in a tactful way that is accessible for children. The artwork in the book is comparable to the style many of the superhero comic books. This is a graphic novel that would really appeal to a younger age group, and with features such as writing prompts and a glossary it was retold with younger age groups in mind. I would recommend this for students in grades 2-4.

My daughter and I are just beginning to cover Europe in her ancient civilizations text book, and this graphic novel version of the King Arthur story was a fun way to start things off. If you have Netflix or can watch Mystery Files: King Arthur, I would recommend previewing that first before reading this or other books about King Arthur. The short documentary discusses the various possible heroes who may have inspired this well-known legend.

As always, I highly praise graphic novels for reluctant readers whom otherwise may pass on the chapter book version. Something is always better than nothing and may also inspire them to check out the larger read if their interests are peaked.
