Take the title of this literally. It gives a bit of the background on why Georgian Bath was built, and then covers various aspects of the actual building of the houses. If you're a layman but curious about how Georgian terrace houses are constructed, this is a great overview without being too detailed.
Found this book off the bookstore at the Bath Spa itself. It's a short and interesting book for the train ride back home. It is intended for the layman and describes doesn't shy away from explaining the basics of carpentry and architecture. It is neither a book on architecture nor a detailed historical account. It is only a short introduction to the vast architectural landscape of Bath.
