Rate this book
This volume takes a comprehensive state-of-the-art look at the fast-moving field of the dynamics of brain function, with the aim of promoting a better understanding of the complex integrative functions of the central nervous system. Topics such as EEG analysis and event-related potentials and their application in cognitive and clinical studies are discussed in detail, while special emphasis is also placed on chaos in brain function and the dynamics of evoked rhythmicities. In addition, different approaches to the understanding of brain compound potentials are compared at the neuronal and evolutionary levels. The volume closes with conceptual proposals and suggestions for future research on cognitive functions, dynamics and pathologies of the brain from a number of experts active in these fields.
