I loved reading Ogden Nash poetry in school. However, a little of him goes a long way, so after making my way through this book, I decided I like him better in anthologies!

No one plays with words as he does; or makes up words as he!! Mr. Nash is creative with a good sense of humor.

With a great selection of diverse poems, Ogden Nash puts together the ultimate book that will enlighten you. Not only is there a poem for almost every reader but there is also life lessons to be learned from the poems within the book. Nash managed to find the most exclusive verses that will relate to the everyday reader from that time and beyond. Nash put together a selection that will be legit for generations to come. With mostly humorous verses the reader will always find something to laugh at and something to relate to. I would recommend this book to everyone who values the art of literature and to those who would like to expand their intellectual mind.

If you play Scrabble, keep a copy of this book near

This is a collection of the beat of Ogdenisms over 30 years. I like his short verses as I can remember them when I am describing Ogden Nash to people. This book has 522 pages with more verses than pages. He never has problems with acquiring riming words, even though the dictionaries fall short of containing them. This is the American way of English.

So, when you play Scrabble keep a copy of this next to the deficient dictionary.

Ah, Nash...Dress your lower limbs in pants;
Yours are the limbs, my sweeting.
You look divine as you advance;
But have you seen yourself retreating?

Wonderful! Every time I hear the old-fashioned phrase "supper club", I think of Ogden Nash.
