I can’t help it Lauren Dane can write the heck out of a MFM!

I already am hooked to this series but add in some yummy delicious males and I am a goner.

I loved the connection between Gabe, Tracey and Nick. You can see it right from the beginning. I thought Nick was going to be more possessive but it was as if he felt the connection too.

I kind of like that it was drama free.

Now what is going on with the packs is something I am really interested in I want to know what is going on with that. And can’t wait to keep going in this series.

Hmmm I am having some like and dislike things with the narration. Sometimes it’s as if her voice is childlike. And I don’t like that. But then sometimes its all good. I am just on the fence with the narration right now.

I am reading this series out of order which I am glad I did because after this book I would have given up on this series and moved on.......

After reading Reluctant Mate which sadly did not make me enthusiastic about continuing the series, as I did not read it the first time round, I was willing to move on. Then I re read Pack Enforcer and again my opinion hadn't changed about the book nor my rating of it.

Tri Mates was another version of Pack Enforcer but the heroine got different names. There was no difference between Tracy and Nina. I wasn't fond of Nina and Tracy I really did not like at all.

I felt she cared more for Nick than Gabe. Nick was way too self absorbed to be an Alpha man in my mind. He was more pretty boy than feared Enforcer of his pack. He seemed to cared more about appearances than anything else - his clothes, house and furnishing. His insecurity about Lex was a concern for me, in his mind Lex was superhero material, no self respecting Alpha male would even be thinking such thoughts!!!!!.
Gabe, now he I really liked but he wasn't given enough page time. His character was something that I could really like but I felt he spent most of his time in the background. I also liked the older man younger women theme. For his years I would have thought Gabe would have been more in the picture and seeing as he is more powerful than Nick that would have made him be more. Also there was no opportunity for them to show us that they are all powerful. I really would have liked to see what they where capable off.

I also did not like the idea of : finding your true mate = I LOVE YOU instantly. This concept was unreal for me and it was way OTT to be believable.

The ending of this book sucked!!!.

She is the sister to the Alpha and his brother. In this story we have a twist to the story. Our heroine discovers while on a mission with a mediator that she has a mate. Brother and Enforcer to the Alpha of the other wolf pack that they are in mediation with. Tracy falls for Nick pretty quickly and their bond cements fast. But she is in need of a anchor, and the mediator who has yet to find his own mate volunteers himself. Gabe is drawn to Tracy, but he doesn't understand the connection. Its not until a intense altercation with Nicks family, that Tracy's grandmother sees what is going on with the three wolves. A mating that is very rare....a tri mating bond. There are many things that I liked and didn't like about this story. Now the menage portion of the story I didn't really have a issue with. There were times that I didn't understand Nick or his lack of defense of her against certain members of his pack. I also like the mystery and intrigue that plays a role in this story. We see a villain start to take some serious control over certain packs. Lauren Dane definitely brings together a story of complex pack politics, sensuality and a stirring love story.

I think I’ve shared before that when I started dipping my toe into the paranormal smut pool, Lauren Dane was the author who ended up convincing me to wade in. Each book in her Cascadia Wolves series just got better and better, convincing me to go deeper and deeper. Problems with the publisher meant she dropped the series until now. She is reworking them and re-issuing them through a different publisher and I am thrilled.

Wolves Triad Is the second book in the series. Ms. Dane has built a paranormal world where wolves have fated mates and when they meet them cue the insta-love. During border negotiations with another pack, Tracy discovers that Nick, an enforcer for the rival pack, is her mate.

In this universe, when wolves mate, an anchor bond must be formed between the woman and another male. It’s a weird thing that centers the female and her wolf. Without this she would slowly become unhinged. Gabe, the mediator between the packs, agrees to be her anchor bond and then the unthinkable happens– instead of an anchor bond forming, a true mate bond forms and suddenly Tracy finds herself mated to not one but two strong alpha wolves.

One of the things that originally drew me to this series is it doesn’t gloss over the logistics of two people coming together suddenly. Decisions must be made, sacrifices occur, and lives are uprooted. Throw in a third person and it’s pure chaos. When you also add in pack politics and some intrigue happening not only on a pack level but in the National Pack itself, things get twisted and convoluted fast.

I loved Tracy, she’s quirky and different but stays true to herself no matter what people think. She’s also extremely strong and unbelievably sharp, she loves her family and is close to her pack. She’s got a home she loves and a business she adores. Thrust into a situation where she must not only give all that up but also deal with some extreme issues with her new pack, where most would have caved under the pressure, she stood tall and handled things.

Gabe was take charge and alpha to his core but once he was connected to Tracy it was all about her. To me, he was the strongest of the triad forming the foundation they needed to weather the storms that were upon them. I adored Gabe and his willingness to do what was best for his mates.

Nick, I had a harder time with. He seemed clueless, immature and occasionally came off as selfish and kept screwing up every time he turned around. He eventually redeemed himself and I ended up liking him, but I never got to where I admired him as I did Gabe.

Regardless of my issues with Nick, there was plenty of action both in and out of the sheets to keep me interested. I loved getting reacquainted with the characters I remember so fondly from before. With action, intrigue, humor and lots and lots of sexy times, this is a series I am thrilled to see being resurrected.

Oh my gosh! I just finished the book and I am supremely surprised. Where the hell is the ending? What type of shitty ending is that?
It would have been 4 stars but that ending! That's a crap ending. Totally unexpected. I felt like I was still in the rising action of the book.
Overall, great story. Loved the characters. But that ending just pisses me off.

To say I was eager to get started reading this book is an understatement. I started reading this book on my old tablet which decided to switch itself off every time I attempted to read it. So when I had to then wait until I could replace my tablet to read really get into reading this book which extremely irritating when I was ready for my next Cascadia Wolves fix!
Whilst reading this book I should point out that there are some rather detailed sexual scenes within it, so I would definitely say 18+ only for this one. Personally the explicit scenes were bordering on too much detail for my reading taste but at the same time it didn't make me want to totally want to stop reading, and certainly didn't spoil the plot of the book for me.
The cover is again gorgeous, I'd love to have this set of books on my bookshelf (maybe even a signed copy! . . . hey! I can dream lol).

The cover has the bottom have like the other books in the Cascadia Series, the forest, that surrounds the Wardens home. There's the wolf silhouette at the bottom left corner. The title appears above the forest and wolf silhouette as well as the authors name, both in fonts that match the other books in the series so far. Above the author name is a blonde female, in this case after reading the book we know to be Tracy. She has a figure close to each side of her, and we know the hint from the first line in the blurb "The tri-mate is just a myth".

The genres this book fall's into are paranormal, fantasy, werewolves and as I mentioned earlier I would have to say it is definitely for an adult 18+ audience because of it's content and explicit descriptive scenes. Whilst there are such scenes in the book there is a strong plot and some brilliant characters old and new.

I guess I should begin by explaining what a tri-bond is. . . its when someone has two "perfect mates" and the three actually form a tri-bond. Is that what occurs in this book? Or is the tri-bond just a figment of an overactive imagination?, or an old ancient myth?
Once again bad shifter Warren Pellini rears his ugly head, having created a much stronger, more dangerous werewolf mob. If you get in his way. . .well you don't live very long. this plot runs alongside the romance element in the book.
There's been some fighting between the Cascadia Pack and the Pacific Pack along the borders of their territory, and a mediator has been called in to sort things out in an amicable and mutually agreed way. Both enforcers Lex from Cascadia and Nick from Pacific will meet up with the mediator to discuss the situation and solve the problem. As well as the enforcers other pack members go to help in the disscusions. It is decided that Nina will accompany Lex as they still can hardly bear to be apart. Tracy will also attend in the capacity of personal assistant/note taker. Tracy of course takes Milton with her whenever possible too. On the drive to the hotel that the mediation will take place there's banter between Tracy, Lex and Nina. Tracy laughs at the couple and makes a comment about them still being in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. Lex and Nina laugh, with Nina telling Tracy when she meets "the one", her very own mate, she will not want to be separated from them and will understand.
Cade asks his enforcer Lex, to mention Warren Pellini to the mediator Gabe Murphy who is third in the National Pack. Pellini seems to be attempting to cosy up to the second of the National Pack and its something that has not just the large packs like Cascadia worried, but the smaller ones like Pacific uneasy too. Though there's a connection between the Pacific Pack and Warren Pellini that even their own werewolves would not guess at!
When the small skirmishes are sorted out it leaves two things to be dealt with. The first thing is sorting out Tracy and her mate, anchor and her pledging fealty to what will be her new pack. The second one the fact Gabe Murphy has been contacted by werewolves from the other pack expressing their concerns. Gabe doesn't want to go above his second Jack Myers the enforcer in the National Pack to discuss the problems but events determine he has to.

I felt sorry for poor Tracy who is truly knocked flat by the whirlwind she is caught up in when she meets her mate. Then theirs the fact she will be the one to move, leave her house, business and more importantly her family behind to fit in with her mate and his pack.
A minor thing to some but a sticking point for Tracy when her mate is adamant they will live in his apartment and that it is not dog friendly. From the very outset he is fixated in his belief that the apartment is where they should live. Though things go from shaky to being awful and dangerous when the Cascadia pack members, Alpha and eldest brother Cade, enforcer Lex and his mate Nina along with Tracys parents, Henri and Beth and grandmother Lia all arrive at her mates home and their is a very thin veil covering bubbling animosity towards Tracy. To say the air is thick with tension . . . wow you can feel it rippling out of the book at you!
It's grandmother Lia that puts the werewolves right and speaks quietly to Tracy about the truth of the tri-band and the mystical spell that can break a bonding if needed.

I love the banter and affection readily shown between the members of the Cascadia wolves. For example Nina is mate to Lex, and her anchor and pack alpha Cade and is able to be a calming influence of both male wolves. Nina is beginning to be more and more integrated into the pack, both the pack politics and the personal lives and relationships of the other pack members.
I adore the feeling of family as well as that strong emotion of pack. Tracy is the youngest in the Warden family so has plenty of older siblings to look out for her. Though Cade and Lex are the ones that display their protectiveness openly, and almost deliver a threat of what the will do if their baby sister is hurt in any way. The fact Nina and Tracy are so close is an amazing thing too, though Tracy had been there for Nina when she most needed it. To say Nina was originally human and was bitten and turned during a challenge that turned out to be more of an attack or attempt to kill her in front of the whole pack she feels very strongly for her werewolf family. Nina does want change within the pack structure, to make things more democratic and she may just have someone else whose thoughts are similar to hers in Gabe Murphy. I think we may see more of Nina and Gabe shaping the future of the packs and their hierachy and ancient, sometimes outdated, and barbaric ways in future books.
My favourite character are still headed by Nina, Lex and Cade and I immediately loved Tracy, how she has the cute, soft and lovable dog Milton that is treat like the spoilt child of the pack. Though the males in the pack probably wouldn't admit it they enjoy having Milton around too. In fact at one point in this book, a guy not liking Milton and not being so willing to adapt to include the beloved dog nearly has his relationship on a possible downward spiral.
Tracy is a real tough cookie to look at, with tattoos and piercings and she can certainly hold her own in a fight. Tracy is not one to walk away quietly if she knows she is right, she is not afraid speaking up and is prepared to fight whoever necessary to prove her point. Tracy truly has one heck of a roller coaster ride of emotions in this book, from the thrill of finding her mate, to the confusion of feeling the same about a second wolf. what happens in the end? You'll have to read the book to find out. In this book we also meet two werewolf children, Haley and Chris, who are caught up in the danger and threat of retaliation from Warren Pellini. It is the fault of the parents of these children that they are now in danger but Tracy doesn't hold grudges and makes phone calls and arrangements for the children along with their mother to be kept safe until the Pellini situation can be fully taken care of.

To sum up I am in love the characters and totally immersed in plot of this series. Wolves' Triad is another great addition to the Cascadia Wolves Series. I would reiterate that this book is 18+ due to descriptive, and explicit sexual scenes in the book. These sections are part of the greater story/plot but at times went a little far for my own usual reading comfort zone. Having said that, it didn't put me off reading the whole book and I am fairly eager to read the next book to discover what will happen to Warren Pellini as well as catching up with the Warden clan.

New cover that matches the other republished books! I like the new look!

This book was awesome to read! This is the 2nd book in the series and is for adults only due to the steamy content.

This series is unique with the Tri-bond concept, but there is something special in this book. I really like Tracy. She is strong and fierce and won’t put up with anyone’s garbage. Tracy is Cade and Lex’s sister, so she is used to dealing with over protective Alphas. Nick is something else. I thought I was going to hate him because he was an insensitive jerk, but he got his act together. I think Gabe helped with that too!

Lauren writes the perfect mix of intrigue, action, and steam. This series might not be for everyone if you have trouble with the tri-bond concept, but I think this is a personal preference issue because they writing is awesome. My mom and grandma have read Lauren’s work for years, so I’m a little slow and have to catch up.

I highly recommend this book and series to all the wolf shifter lovin’ fans especially if you are already acquainted with Lauren’s writing and love it! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

This book continues the overall series arc of Pellini/Werewolf Mafia while giving us Gabe (National mediator), Nick (Pacific Enforcer), & Tracy (baby-sister to the Cascadia Alpha)

I forgot (because Dane has several other MMF books) that while she sort of hints and teases as a potential for MMF, this is actually MFM. That tease is honestly more annoying and distracting than just owning the MFM sitch.

It feels very much HFN instead of HEA the last book gave us. Nick & Tracy find a third mate in Gabe instead of just an anchor. That takes up a big chunk of the book concurrent with Nick discovering his brother/Alpha has messed up.

I don’t mind when books are part of series arc, but this felt unfinished in being a solid story on its own. Not terrible, just unsatisfying.

It's been a while since I finished this book, so unfortunately, I can't recall all the details. What I do remember though, is that it didn't really work for me that well.
It was a pretty generic shifter menage story, lots of steam, not a lot of substance. And while a book like this might have appealed to me a few years back, my tastes seem to be changing these days.
Nothing wrong with the story or the writing, as far as I can remember, only a matter of personal preferences. Others did enjoy it, after all.

Oooo, a fated mates tri-bond situation. This is such an interesting set up, and would've been 1,000 times more interesting if she'd crossed into MMF instead of just hinting that it might be a possibility in the future. I suppose these are borderline erotic romances, since there's so much sex, and it was originally published by Ellora's Cave.

I enjoyed this one though I do have some issues that didn't sit well for me. so its a confusing 3.5-4ish stars for me.

Start with the good..

Tracy Warden is a kick ass take control don't fuck with me heroine and that's my favourite type. She definitely is a solid character with a sweet side. I loved how protective she is over her family and her mates, I also loved that she was willing to fight for them regardless of the consequence's. she was fairly laid back about the matings considering how rare hers is and she also had a great sense of humour.

Gabe.. gosh I loved him. His cool calm demeanour shouldn't have you fooled!. than man is an alpha through and through. The way he handled the tri-bond was perfection and just in general the man was made to lead. The way he was with tracy was super sweet and in all fairness he handled the sharing very well considering how dominant he is. I feel as if we don't get enough of him which is a little sad!.

Nick .. he took some getting used to. He was selfish brash and had very childlike tendencie's. However he was sweet as pie with Tracy and you definetly get to see a different side to him. as the book went on you could'nt help but fall for him regardless. I did feel sorry for him with some of the situations that happened in the story. I did feel like he was a little misunderstood in some parts.

The story was good. It flowed nicely with some unexpected surprises throughout. They all had great chemistry together and when it was good it was freaking hot. A fair few emotions going on through this book making it all tie together nicely it was good but it isn't my favourite.


now the parts I didn't so much like...

Nicks selfishness was hard to take. I couldn't understand why he acted the way he did throughout the story when Tracy was giving up everything to be with him. Now I'm not saying he was all bad because that isn't true however he needed to grow up a lot and to me he didn't enough to justify his position in the pack.

Parts of the story are not made clear enough and most definitely are cleared up by the end leaving you with more questions than you started with. I have read the next book so I know these are still unawnsered.

The ending was so abrupt I went back twice to make sure I really was at the end. There just isn't enough of them being settled together without the drama for me to feel the connectiong between them as much as I did with the previous books.

Now all the being said I do understand that Gabe and Nick cant work if they are the same type of character so I do appreciate that they are all different therefore balance eachother out. I can say that they do, So it does work however there are still parts that miffed me off.

again though this isn't all bad. I did really enjoy this story and its written really well its just not my favourite and I'm a still disappointed because my expectations were higher for this one.

Wolves' Triad is the next re-release of the Cascadia Wolves series. This was the book I was most curious about when I first ran into this series way back when so I was eager to see how it was handled.

I wasn't crazy about Pack Enforcer for a lot of reasons, but primarily because of a lack of characterization and because the world building struggled. This continues in Wolves' Triad.

Like the previous books, the mating is sudden, unexpected, and sharp. Unlike the others, Tracy Warden gets two mates and one of them is a sexual dominant. The ease with which her "first" mate Nick accepts this and accepts Gabe as his pseudo-lover is interesting, and not in a good way. How do you go from "She's Mine! Mine!" to "Hey, let's have hot sex with her in between us!" at the drop of a hat? That Tracy is deeply attracted to both right from the start is obvious. Frankly, it could have gone the other way had Gabe made the first move and not Nick.

The continuing storyline of the Pellini Group was as weak as it was in Pack Enforcer. Nick's pack and Alpha pair (his brother and s-i-l for whom he is Anchor) are so weak it's laughable. How did no one challenge them in that Pack? I bet you the Third could have taken them with no problem. Plus, as villains go, Sarah and Ben are pretty cookie cutter. I did like to see a mating gone wrong in Ben and Sarah because that's not something that is often showcased in pnr.

The vast amount of telling and not showing was really obvious and the stilted dialogue was more off-putting. It's very obvious this is early Lauren Dane. This one felt more like just a vehicle for menage scenes of which there are many (even while her parents are just inside the house while they are having sex on the porch).

In the end, while I am glad to get to read the series, I can see that she is a much better write now and it has been very interesting to read the Cascadia Wolves series up against the Diablo Lake series (her latest) and see the differences (way better characterization) and the similarities (issues with world building).

ooohhhh Drama! drama! And more drama!!
This book was absolutely delicious!!! Lauren Dane did better with this one then she did with the first. Especially after the idea of the tri-bond thing, i didnt think I would like this but damn it! it was too good to put down. And plus i can tolerate a tri mate scenario better than the tri-bond weirdness.

The story:

Tracy Warren has found her mate The Enforcer and Second to the Pacific Pack, Nick Lawrence, during a meditation meeting between her pack and his. So when the mating bond begins, she and Nick both know she going to need an anchor to help balance her out. In comes Gabe Murphy, National Pack Mediator, who volunteers to be her anchor but when the anchor bond becomes more than a simply helping hand. They'll have to figure things out but with chaos within the pack and danger coming from the werewolf mafia. There's really is no time for a honeymoon.

I enjoyed this more than the first. I guess I like the heroes and story much better. Tracy was a riot! Since Nina (heroine from the first book, was a bad ass, too) I didn't mind seeing her again.

I can deal with the fated mates thing as long as there's sufficient time to develop the relationship outside what's been fated. I think here, though, the feelings come too quickly. I realize they're tied to the mating bond, but when the "I Love You's" are thrown out 5 minutes after meeting it rings false.

Once I move past that, I can't deny these are compelling reads. I especially enjoyed the way the tri-mate worked in this case. Having 3 people join together for a permanent relationship has always been interesting to me. I give it more leeway because in this world it's more accepted, but the internal workings of the relationship were fun to read about.

I'm enjoying this series more and more, considering how crappy I thought the first book was. In this third of the series, Dane gives us much more of werewolf politics as she introduces the Pacific Pack and the National Pack. And she throws Tracy Warden, the youngest sister of the Cascadia Wolves ruling family, into mating with both the Enforcer of the Pacific Pack, Nick Lawrence, and the Mediator of the National Pack, an older wolf named Gabe. Dane pays a lot more attention to the dynamics of the relationships between her characters, which is finally gratifying. Also, she does a good job with the difficulties that come with dealing with the aftermath of a quick hook up and marriage - sacrifices, compromises, hurt feelings, etc.

This is book 2 in the Cascadia Wolves series. It did not disappoint. This was a story about acceptance and a strong bonded love between three people. It's the first tri-mate bond in 50 years. They took it pretty well. Two Alphas and their very Alpha female living in the same house. Protecting their pack. I really loved this story. I'm getting into this series. A must read.

The Cascadia Wolves move on, on a twist we have a tri-mate bond and what a tri it is. I love Gabe and his mature and calm. Just what a a she wolf needs, as well as a hot as hell enforcer in Nick. Good for you Tracy. 4.5 stars.

Sigue sin convencerme lo de el vinculo y la actuación de Sarah me confirma que en verdad es incómodo. Es decir, es super incómodo para el ancla y para su futura compañera toda esa mierda, si el vínculo no se estableciera a través del sexo y fuera por cercanía y hubiera una clara diferencia y fuera más bien platónico y no sexual, pues estaría más cómoda. Aunque Nina y Cade no vayan a traicionar a Lex, Cade sigue sintiéndose muy atraído por Nina y ella también lo reconoce como hombre, y eso me incómoda, hace que el vínculo de compañeros entre Nina y Lex se sienta barato o no tan especial. Y la triada...bueno, sí vi que al menos Nick y Gabe también se consideraban compañeros entre sí, pero me hubiera gustado que no se centraran tanto en Tracy, ella era el vínculo real entre esos dos y me hubiera gustado que los tres fueran compañeros por igual y que hubiera sexo entre ellos dos y que no solo se aceptaran por ser ambos compañeros de Tracy. Además, veo un patrón con las protas de ser todas unas luchadoras y aunque no lo veo mal, siento que siempre son alfas heroínas, como si fueran lo mismo todo el rato. Igual solo me he leído dos libros y el la historia de Layla fue muy corta como para meterla en el mismo patrón.
Igual tengo curiosidad por cómo se desarrollan las otras relaciones.

Tracy finds herself with not one, but two mates. She, Nick, and Gabe have the rare tri-bond.

I like the fact that Tracy is so badass and doesn't take crap off of anyone. The immediate chemistry felt by the people who are meant to be mates is also pretty fantastic.

My only problem is that a mate bond=insta-love. I wouldn't have a problem with that if it didn't happen to people that you just met.

Still, me not liking that aspect wasn't enough of a deterrent to keep me from liking everything else that happened in this book.

Lauren Dane writes such lovely threesome novels.....and this book didn't disappoint AT ALL. I felt each of the characters and understood them all quite well. My only point of contention was.....the book was too short :-( I felt as though Gabe and Nick would also have something but then the book ended.
All the same, I enjoyed myself......IMMENSELY

If one is going to write about wolf shapeshifters, could we please some shape-shifting going on?

And what is it about the fated mates' trope that means people don't invest in getting to know each other? This story is very thin on actual storyline other than the threesome getting it on. The bad guys just have a walk-on rather than actually do anything.

This book was decent but overall disappointing. It doesn’t work super well as a stand-alone and ends with a lot of things unsettled. Also, it’s a total bummer that you’ve got a triad relationship and there’s only the merest whisper of dudely werewolf on dudely werewolf action. I was hoping for bisexual characters, and here they were barely heteroflexible.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t give this one a fair go. I got distracted, and before I knew it, the book had ended. While I know there was spice woven in, I missed most of it, which left the story feeling a bit hollow for me.
I’m not likely to revisit this one, but I’m still keen to give the next in the series a go, picking it will be about new characters.

I really like this series and this one is my favourite so far. The tri mating is the best I’ve come across and all three in the mating are people/wolves I really like.
Tracy and her snarky mouth lifted my enjoyment to a new level.

RAGING INFERNO

This story is a raging inferno with just enough action in it. Highly recommended read, this is a great series, so far! It was so hard to put it down! Lauren Dane’s writing is spectacular!!!
