Angela lent this to me when I had hit a wall with a particular student. It was an easy read that revitalized my classroom management and soul. The single most helpful idea I took from this book is that average kids will follow your direction in about 3 seconds or less. Tough kids need a full 10 seconds to process and decide to listen. Let's just say I've been counting to 10 in my head a lot since them and not getting so angry when the action occurred at 9.
