A good reference guide for animal owners who don't want unnecessary trips to the vet and are comfortable learning to do basic veterinary care themselves.

A great book to have on hand if you own alot of animals like i do:)

The book is separated into sections that go by animal(dog, horse, goat, pig, etc...) and is pretty easy to navigate through.

It gives a brief summary and description of different sickness and ailments, as well as how to treat them. Also includes a handy how-to guide in the back. Has instruction on how to do everything from castrating a pig to treating pneumonia.

Not super-super detailed but it gets the job done effectively nonetheless. Definitely glad we got this book.

One of the best Veterinary books ever written for people with no expirence with livestock health. The auother relates his real life expirences to what is going on in the text. Everything is well organized and written. Each step is clearly described and more references are listed.

This book has a good overview of information, but not as helpful for someone who might only keep one type of animal.
