An unhappy marriage taught Terri Powers never to trust in love again. Instead, she put all her energies into creating the successful New York ad agency she'd always dreamed of. Then she meets businessman Clinton Steele and can't fight the attraction between them. When a stranger comes out of Terri's past and threatens to destroy everything she's worked for, she and Clinton must put their love to the test.
This book was not terrible but it is not something that I would give a friend in search of a great book. Maybe it was just me but I found it more than a little predictable. I was also put off by the relationship between Terri and Clint. It seemed as though every other chapter something threw their relationship train off the tracks. In general though Terri and Clint are likeable characters as are their respective best friends. The fact that the entire book is sort of an unraveling of their lives in an often dramatic fashion so that the antagonist can have the big reveal was interesting. I was not over the moon about the ending though. I am not sure that it is conceivable after all that the characters have been through.
This was typical Harlequin Romance.....Boy meets girl the y fall in love. They have issues break up, then something happens and they can't live without each other. Won't be recommending to anyone.
