I have to say this was my favorite one in the series. The writing felt a bit different in this one. There wasn't an instant love scene, tho there was some sexy times along a telepathic line.

Logan decides to infiltrate the Wyvernmoon clan to finally put a stop to the biological warfare they are inflicting on his adopted clan, the Dragonstars. When he meets the princess of the clan, he believes he has found a way into the clan, in order to destroy the virus.

Cecily is the princess of the Wyvernmoon clan and in the 5 months since her father's death, she has sat back and watched as her clan slowly seemed to be destroying itself. Her hesitancy in doing anything about it, is that she has always just been a center piece, a prize to be auctioned away. It's a very backward clan when it comes to women's rights and Cecily finally decides to try and save her clan. She has no knowledge of the evil thing her father was doing to the Dragonstar clan.

This made for a good story with Logan's secret and Cecily basically the "leader" of the enemy clan. It made for some good angsty moments at the end.

I enjoyed the pacing of this one much better than the others and I really liked Cecily as well. She wasn't quite the shy retiring character she appears.

Good book and a nice conclusion to the series. The only complaint I had was there was no epilogue. I really would've liked to see

After the dark, gritty events in the last book, Hidden Embers, I wasn’t quite sure where this book would take us. I was very surprised to find that it was considerably lighter in tone and that the focus had moved away from the Dragonstar clan. I was pleased by the chance to get a more well-rounded view of the world there, but I was shocked by what I found.

I’m not sure if this is the end of the series, but it does wrap up the arc about the deadly virus crippling the Dragonstars. The Wyvernmoons and their actions against the Dragonstars had them cast as the evil douches of the dragon world, so I was surprised to see a different side of them when Logan infiltrated their clan. The biggest surprise turned out to be Cecily, the last member of the royal house now that her father and brother were dead.

The Wyvernmoon ruling system put her in the position of being a princess with no real power. Females couldn’t lead, so the clan was at loose ends without her father and brother. She wanted to help her people and tried to step forward and assume control, but her past role in the clan came around and bit her, making it hard for anyone to take her seriously. Always before she had been relegated to the sidelines and left to do nothing other than look pretty, and she let it happen. Her virginity (rare for a dragon her age) and her hand in marriage were used as a bargaining chip in her father’s maneuvering. Basically, she was treated like meat and had no value to them beyond that.

A stressed Cecily stumbles upon Logan outside the Wyvernmoon boundaries and ends up falling into an attraction with him. It develops quickly, but that’s no surprise due to Logan’s plot and Cecily’s inexperience with men. They meet again and again and soon Cecily finds herself trusting Logan and confiding her problems. He eventually gains access to her home but is conflicted over divided loyalties. He can’t betray his people, but he can’t help slowly falling for Cecily.

Emphasis on politics in a society either works really well or it tends to irritate me. This one gave me that depressed, hopeless feeling. I hate when a character is stuck as a figurehead and is treated like crap by her people. It just makes me want her to give them the finger and leave them to their fates. I eventually saw the people she was determined to stand up for and why it was so important to her, but those guys at the top of the ladder on the council cast long shadows that made it hard for me to have patience. I just wanted her leave them instead of acceding to their wishes.

I liked that Logan struggled with the way he was betraying Cecily. He grew to care for her and had a hard time reconciling his feelings with the mission he was completing for his people. He never gave up his plot, which made me respect him more, but he knew there was going to be hell to pay when she found out—which there was. I was very thankful that the heroine didn’t irritate me by brushing off his actions. For her part, Cecily was sweet and nice, but she was crippled by her naivety. After stepping forward as leader she was disillusioned again and again and was forced to gain confidence in herself and stand on her own. I enjoyed watching her mature and grow stronger.

Like in the last book, there were still a lot of sex scenes that I felt could have been trimmed down, but this time around I knew it was an Erotic Romance, so I was expecting that. The author still managed to devote enough time to the plot to reveal the truth of the virus plot and to let both Cecily and Logan complete their goals. I would have liked a little more relationship development and time getting to know each other, but what we did have of it was fun. Although Cecily could occasionally irritate me with her trusting manner, both the hero and heroine were genuinely likable characters. I struggled with that in the last book, so discovering that was a relief.

I still need to backtrack and try out the first book, but what I’ve seen of this series so far has entertained me. I think I’ll be keeping an eye out to see what this author has coming next.

Favorite Quote:
“Chill out, Logan. I was joking. God, you’re easy.”
“That’s what I‘ve been trying to tell you. I’m incredibly easy.” He paused. “Speaking of which, are you going to take advantage of my easiness anytime soon?”
“I already tried that. You ran away like a scared little girl.”

The problem with this book and the previous installments is that not enough information is provided regarding the main characters' pasts. Little is known about Logan's early years in Ireland and the details would have added an extra dimension to his characterization but are sorely lacking. More information is provided concerning Cecily's family history but once again it is insufficient.

The revenge plot continues the ongoing story of the Wyvernmoons' attacks on the Dragonstar clan. While, Logan's motivation is completely understandable given the horrific nature of the biological weapon used against his people, he is, nevertheless, constantly misleading and lying to Cecily, which is a strike against him.

Cecily starts out on the weak willed and pathetic side but gains in strength and confidence as the story progresses. She reveals a strong backbone in her encounters with the various council members and ultimately becomes an independent and powerful heroine worthy of being a queen. The fact that she calls Logan on his actions and doesn't automatically forgive him even though she understands his reasons is another plus in her favor.

Logan and Cecily's romance is satisfying but not as intense as it could have been given the circumstances. They seem to spend most of their time lusting after each other and having sex, which detracts from their ultimate declarations of love after knowing each other for barely a week.

All in all, an adequate ending to a series that has a lot of potential but never really lives up to it. There is additional material for future installments that I would probably read if I came across them.

I'm assuming this is the end of the series Dragon's Heat, purely because all the bad guys are dead and the evil virus has been blown up.

This installment was disappointing. Our heroine, Cecily, Princess of the Wyvernmoon Clan is a very powerful dragon but acts like a simpering submissive for most of the story. Not exactly endearing. No matter how compassionate she is towards the end of the book, actions do speak louder than words.

Our Hero, Logan, Dragonstar sentry, is on a secret, desperate mission to destroy the Wyvernmoons, but is just too straight down the line. Spies need to be sneaky but flexible in their plans.

So whilst they were all over each other, etc, etc, we could see it all about to go pear shaped, it all just became very predictable and with no humour to alleviate the same, same, I got bored.

Now it was well written, despite me skimming pages and pages of virgin sex. Boy that got boring quickly.

So, if its the wrap up of the trilogy, we really got no feedback from the first 2 couples, and this felt very isolated. Yes we saw Shawn who was a dragonstar buddy, and we had a very short telepathic conversation with Dylan, but that was it. A pretty abrupt ending as well.

Not sure if I'll seek out any more of Ms Adams work, we'll have to see.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I really enjoyed this installment. It took me a while to get into it as I didn't connect with Logan in the previous books. However, I did really enjoy the chemistry between him and Cecily. He helped boost her confidence while she took his down a few pegs. Logan was protective, caring and considerate towards Cecily (and boy did he want her bad). Cecily found Logan irresistible. I really enjoyed watching Cecily's character grow and develop as she tried to figure out what was wrong with her clan. I was a little disappointed that her storm maker powers weren't a big feature in the story, it would have added another dimension.

Since he was born in Ireland and not as a Dragonstar, Logan decides he’s the perfect person to infiltrate the Wyvernmoon to find out how to destroy the virus and stop them from attacking his adopted clan.
But when he gets there he discovers his best way of getting into the compound is by using their princess. Unfortunately she needs his help and he’s falling in love with her.
I love Cecily’s bravery, compassion for her people and common sense.

Footnote: 1) I’m kind of disappointed in this series. I was hoping for more dragon story and not so much sex. I’m not a prude, I'd just like to have some story in my story and this was not what I thought I’d be reading. I skimmed through a lot of it and ended up finishing the book faster than I expected.

Fave scenes: Cecily confronting the Wyvermoon factionaire council, Logan telling Cecily about the history and Cecily’s prevention from falling in the lake.

Some people might think that reviewing books is a great job. It is and it isn’t. On the plus side it is great because you get to read so many books and you get to discover lots of new authors whose books you might otherwise never have picked up. On the down side is discovering a fantastic new author by reading one of their books, that isn’t the first, in a series. That is exactly what has happened here.
It was only after I got Forbidden Embers by Tessa Adams that I found out it was actually book number three in the Dragon’s Heat series. There is also a little e-book/novella, but for some stupid reason it is not available to me in my area! I started reading – now, you do need to know that when it comes to series I am quite anal I suppose you could say – I prefer to read from book one on to whatever. I do not like to read a series starting in the middle, but with this book, I had no other choice.
In this book, Logan Kelly, a sentry in the Dragonstar clan decides to infiltrate the clan called the Wyvernmoons, who are the ones behind the genetically engineered biological threat that has been decimating clan members rather ruthlessly and extremely painfully. Logan is the logical choice for this operation because he isn’t a born member of the clan – he is a rogue, having left his clan in Ireland hundreds of years ago – and I really wish that more had been revealed of why he was such, because it would go a long way to explaining who he is and what he has become.
All of his friends think that he is going to his death, but he is willing to go ahead with a plan that in their opinion has little chance of success. Logan is a bit world weary I think – after all, his king and friends have found their mates and he has no-one – yet!
This is a story that had me enthralled from the beginning. I love dragons, and sexy men, so that was already a plus. Logan is as sexy as hell – with long or short hair, without or with a scar. However, the story wasn’t just about Logan, indeed it wasn’t even about the Dragonstar clan dragons. It was more about the Wyvernmoons and the machinations going on there, now that their king was dead. To really find out what happened to him you do need to read book one in the series!
Enter the lone survivor of the Wyvernmoons royal family , the princess, Cecily Fournier. Since her father and brother’s deaths she has been trying to work out what to do and how to go about breaching the male bastion and get control. I have to hand it to Ms Adams, she wrote a heroine who was caring, sympathetic and a genuine nice person with a mean set of skills, that you liked and cared about. All this despite the fact that she comes from the clan that has been trying to decimate other dragons, but then you can put most of that down to a crazy father and some evil dragon factionnaires. (NOTE: The Dragonstars have sentries and the Wyvernmoons have factionnaires – pretty much the same thing)
By chance Logan meets Cecily and she becomes his way into the clan. Get ready for some heat because when these two meet, the fireworks start and dragon sex is hot and oh so scrumptiously sexy. For Cecily, Logan is a mystery and she begins to trust him, but will her trust be misplaced and will he betray her?
Here is where the story gets more interesting. How on earth is Logan going to cope? He is starting to care for Cecily and yet he is there to betray her. The guilt he felt and the dilemma he was placed in was something that he found difficult to resolve. Emotionally this is where the book got a lot of its strength – from the dilemma facing Logan and also the problems facing Cecily. She didn’t know who she could trust and at times she didn’t trust in herself and the path she had set herself on and her emotions went on a rollercoaster ride all the way to hell and back. I cannot imagine what it would feel like to find out that people you had trusted for a lifetime were the ones who would betray and even kill you to further their own ambitions.
This is a fantastic, emotional and fast paced novel with all the ingredients that make up a great story. It’s focus is a very compelling new world, with sexy dragons, danger, betrayal and scorchingly hot dragon lovemaking and mating. I loved this emotional tale of the two dragons so much that I went and got the first two books in the series. The book could be read as a standalone, but to get a better understanding of why Logan does what he does and the impact and the reason for the enmity between the Dragonstars and Wyvernmoons, then I would suggest reading the series in order. These dragons are all gifted and not just in the looks department! I am now wishing for my own dragon! Got any to spare Ms Adams?

I fell in love with this world with the first book, Dark Embers and liked the second book Hidden Embers, but I l-o-v-e-d Forbidden Embers. Tessa has made a lifelong fan out of me with this book and there is no way I will ever get enough of the dragons she has created!

When we last left the Dragonstar clan was in the middle of biological warfare with the Wyvermoon clan and out for blood. Wyvermoon has manufactured a violent virus that kills dragons, with a survival rate of zero and no cure in sight. Logan has volunteered to go behind enemy lines and take down the lab where the virus is harvested and find out who is to blame for its creation. He goes in with a single purpose, revenge. He is not going to let anything get in his way and is willing to use anyone to avenge his fallen clan mates. His plan seems to be going well, until he meets Cecily. Cecily is the princess in the Wyvermoon clan and hast been locked away most of her life. She loved her father and brother and was heartbroken when they died, but the more she learns about them, the more she questions who they really were. She wants to take her place as the queen of her clan, but the men who served her father all doubt her ability to rule, especially because she is a woman. She knows she can help turn things around for Wyvermoon, but no one seems to want to give her a chance. She is frustrated and angry when she stumbles upon Logan on the outskirts of her land. And that is where the fun begins.

One of the apprehensions I had going into this book was the lack of the Dragonstar environment. I thought not being with the characters I have come to love was going to impact the story, but I was happy to be proven wrong. Logan proved to be more than enough representation for the Dragonstar clan. Tessa also gives us a great character with Cecily and the chemistry the two of them had together more than made up for past characters absences. It was also interesting to see what has been going on in the Wyvermoon clan all this time. The expression “appearances can be deceiving” is the first thing that came to my mind as the lives of this enemy clan come into the light. Not everything is as it seems and as Logan comes to this realization his heartstrings begin to tug at him and his guilt rises. He did not expect to feel anything for Cecily and when he does, it throws a serious wrench in his plans.

While we are on the subject, the romance in this book was ridiculous! I immediately connected with both Logan and Cecily and soaked in every moment they had together. It started out hot and wild, but quickly turned so sweet. It was easy to root for them and dread the moment when Cecily discovered the truth about Logan. The feelings they have for each other ooze off the page and they became my favorite couple of this series. I knew little about each of them going in, but they both worked their way into my heart and I hope we will get to check up on them from time to time in the future.

One of the best parts of this book was the last one hundred pages that flew by! Everything was happening so fast and the heartache Cecily felt when she discovered Logan’s identity was nothing short of crushing. I was holding my breath to see how all the events turned out, and even though I had my suspicions, there were still a couple of things I did not see coming. I am not sure how all the decisions made in this book are going to affect the lives of everyone in the future, but I am eager to find out.

Overall, Forbidden Embers was absolutely fantastic and has sealed my love of this series. Tessa has not put another book in this series up on her website, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have not seen the end of this world. Hot dragons, scorching romance and a thrilling plot line, not sure what else you could possible want. So, what are you waiting for? If you have not read this series you need to remedy that situation immediately!

Forbidden Embers, Dragon’s Heat #3, by Tessa Adams
Grade: C+

“You can’t mean that. I’m going to die if you leave me like this.” “Don’t worry about it. I know CPR.”

Cecily Frounier is the last of the royal family of the Wyvernmoons clan after her father and brother die and she is determined to prove everyone wrong and become queen. Cecily discovers that becoming queen without marrying will be much harder, if not almost impossible, with her very own council trying to sabotage her at every turn. As a Wyvernmoon princess Cecily has been brought up to look pretty and be ready to marry whomever her father chooses but now she is determined to be the great ruler she needs to be and will stop at nothing to help her people.
Logan Kelly, a Dragonstar seentry, can no longer sit back and watch the members of his clan die from the virus that Wyvernmoon has created to destroy them. Logan is his clans only hope and he is determined to find a way into the Wyvernmoon clan posing as a rouge dragon and destroy the lab that is making this deadly virus. Logan never expected to meet the Wyvernmoon princess Cecily and never ever expected her to be his mate. Logan must now decide which is more important his mate or his clan and can he destroy the clan that his own mate is determined to rule.
Forbidden Embers is the third book in Tessa Adams Dragon’s Heat series and the first book that I have read in the series. I liked the book very much but I really wish that I had read the previous books because I did find myself lost a couple of times. I also felt that a lot of Logan’s back story was told in the previous books and not a lot, if any, was given in Forbidden Embers and this made it difficult for me to like and understand him. I wish that I would have been given more about Logan in the beginning of the book instead of trying to piece together the bits of information that were given.
This is one of the few books where I loved the female lead and didn’t really care for the male lead at all. I usually find that I either love the lead couple or love the male but dislike the female. I really enjoyed Cecily a lot more then I thought I was going to and I loved watching her grow from this shy princess to this strong, force to be reckoned with queen. She held her own against some very powerful males and never gave up fighting to take care of her clan. I love strong female leads and Cecily is a really great example of one.
Logan, Logan, Logan. Oh how to even begin with Logan. Logan I found to be very difficult for most of the book. There were times when he was sexy, strong and I just wanted to lick him up with a spoon but for the majority of the book he was lying, deceitful and very stubborn. I understand that he was sent to destroy the lab and the Wyvernmoon clan at any cost but I hated how he used Cecily and how he used her trust. I really hated how he acted when the truth came out and I wish that he would have tried harder to woo Cecily and win her back.
There was very little dialogue in this book and I really wish that there had been more, a lot more actually. I really wanted more between Logan and Cecily. She fell in love with him without knowing almost anything about him. They didn’t have deep meaningful conversations or expose their fears, hopes or dreams. They had sex, a lot of sex, and Cecily talked a lot but not a ton about anything personal. I wanted more from them and was very disappointed with what I was given.
I am going to try and read the first two books in this series and see if maybe that changes my perspective on Logan and helps me like this series a little more. I loved the action in this book and the big battle scene was really fun and exciting. The love scenes are super sexy and super steamy and I had to fan myself a couple of times. This is a good book I just wanted to like my big, alpha male lead a lot more then I did.

I didn't expect much from this book because it was about two minor characters that we knew nothing about and had no backstory on. I was prepared to drudge through it just to finish the series. Well, imagine my surprise when I realized from the very start that I was in for a treat!

Logan is one of Dylan's trusted sentries. He was not born a Dragonstar, but was accepted into the clan 200 years earlier when he was forced to leave his clan in Ireland. (We never learn why. There is just no backstory for Logan. Frustrating) He has decided that he needs to infiltrate the Dragonstar enemy clan, the Wyvernmoons and destroy their lab and the clan itself from the inside. With Dylan's approval and support, he leaves the only happy home he has ever had and sets off to complete a mission that may be his last.

Cecily is the daughter of Silas, king of the Wyvernmoons. She has been subjugated by her father all her life and has played the part expected of her. Now that she is the last living heir to the throne, she has decided to take the reins of a clan that has never allowed a woman to be in charge. She finds opposition by her father's factionnaires, but she expected this and is prepared to fight for the people pf her clan who are suffering.

Logan and Cecily meet on top of a hill in the South Dakota Blackhills. The attraction is there from the very start. Logan realizes who she is and see her as the perfect way into her clan. Cecily see Logan as an escape from the dangers she is facing at home. As they get to know each other, they begin to realize that they have a real connection and Cecily begins to trust Logan. This allows Cecily to invite Logan into her clan as her guest and personal security. She gives Logan carte blanche to investigate and find out what is going on in her clan. This allows him the freedom he needs to complete is mission. However, as he learns more, he realizes that most of the Wyvernmoon clan is suffering and Cecily may very well be unaware of the crimes committed against his clan and that she may be in danger from the members of her factionnaires.

In spite of the fact that Logan was a minor character in the series until now and we didn't know that Cecily existed, these characters came together in a wonderful story that ends the series. It wasn't at all what I expected, but i completely enjoyed it. There romance was a lot sweeter and less egressive than in the earlier books. I loved the playfulness in their relationship and the sensuality of their love making. Logan's psychic sex with Cecily was just hot! But not as hot as the way her treated her the first time they actually did it.

Cecily also won me over almost immediately. She is the bravest and strongest of all the heroines in this series. She faced down a group of dragons who saw her as nothing but a pawn. Whose every word was meant to belittle and humiliate her. And she did it day after day, even when she wanted to run and hide, she didn't let her fears hold her back. She did it because she need to fight for the members of her clan who were suffering and because she needed to uncover the secrets they were hiding from her and bring peace to her people. She was inspirational.

This was a book worth reading and an excellent end to a great series. While I do wish that Ms. Adams continues the series, if she doesn't, this has satisfied my need for revenge for the Dragonstars. The bad guys (dragons) got theirs, the loner found a home and the girl got her fantasy man! Not a bad ending!

Forbidden Embers by Tessa Adams
Paranormal Romance – Oct. 4th, 2011
4 ½ stars

Forbidden Embers is the third in the Dragon’s Heat Novels, and I really hope not the last. This story concludes the search for evil virus that has invaded the Dragonstar clan and is slowing killing the dragon shifters.

Logan Kelly is a member of the Dragonstar clan. He has watched helplessly as his friends have died of a horrifying disease that targets the Dragonstar DNA. But Logan is not genetically Dragonstar. He was adopted into the clan and is grateful to them. He decides he is the only one capable of finding the virus's origins and finding a key to a cure. His clan is aware that the Wyvernmoons are behind the virus’s inception and he plans to infiltrate the clan. On his way to their stronghold, he meets a lovely dragon shifter and is caught by her beauty and innocence only to discover she is the princess of the Wyvernmoons and their heir since her father and brother died. Logan soon must decide between his loyalty to his clan and the undeniable love of his true mate.

Cecily Fournier is the Wyvernmoon princess, a title that is almost meaningless in a patriarchal clan. With the death of her brother and father, she has finally decided to try to take control and bring order to a clan that is intent on fighting within itself and with other clans. She fears for her people and only wants order and peace, but there are those in the council who work blatantly against her and those she thought she could trust who only bring false friendship. When she leaves to find a moment’s solitude at one of her favorite hideaways, she find a gorgeous and unknown dragon shifter named Logan. She is struck by an instant attraction, and as they continue to meet she finds herself confiding in him and relying on his help as an outsider. But what will she do when she discovers his real purpose?

I found this book the best and most satisfying of the Dragon Heat series to date! I really hope there will be more in this series. I especially loved the heroine. Cecily is valiant, a bit naïve, and idealist. However, she is very strong and even through she encounters, betrayals she is still able to maintain her ideals and help her clan. I also liked that the heroine is also a dragon shifter. Cecily is already part of the dragon world and this makes the story faster paced. I was also fascinated by her ‘additional’ powers. Logan is a very noble character. He is torn by his love for Cecily and his deep loyalty to a clan that adopted him. He tries his best to balance both but you know that all of it will come to a head at the end of the story. As Logan infiltrates the Wyvernmoon clan, I liked how he tried to help those who were clearly victims and had no part in the making of the deadly virus and slowly comes to realize not all Wyvernmoons are evil. I also liked that the heroine didn’t immediately forgive the hero (pushover) for his lies and this made their ultimate relationship all the more satisfying and realistic.

This is my favorite in the Dragon Heat series. Sexy dragon shifters and a hero torn by his loyalties make for suspenseful and highly emotional read.

Finally an up close and personal look at the Wyvermoons and the underbelly is soft and not so smooth and sleek. Logan volunteers to take on the dangerous assignment of infiltrating the clan to get some answers to help stop the virus from killing their people. The Wyvermoon king and his heir are both dead.

After a lifetime of cruelty by her father and relegated to being a bargaining chip, Crown Princess Cecily Fourier was promised to one of the more powerful and rich bullies of the clan. Said bully gives every indication of stepping into the apparent power vacuum but Cecily knows leadership of the clan has fallen to her and she has not inherited a thriving clan.

The men of the clan have difficulty accepting Cecily and she's woefully unprepared for a leadership role. The quick dissolution of her perceptions, the infighting of the council and her own lack of knowledge about certain aspects of clan activities reveal to Cecily there are more issues and problems than Cecily thought.

Resentment over bully Julian's actions reinforce the backbone Cecily needs when she has to defend herself in public against the posturing men closest to her father's powerful throne. It was good to see the Wyvermoon's in a different light since they were previously presented as sneak thieves in the night. They aren't as plentiful as the Dragonstars believed.

A chance meeting with Logan leaves both Cecily and Logan smitten and a bond of trust and friendship begins to form almost immediately. The start of this couple's relationship was different, fun and exciting for them and this reader. When the time comes for Logan to use the information he's gathered against Wyvermoon put Logan in a precarious position as he discovers he's fallen in love with the enemy Queen.

While the sex was consummated shortly after meeting, Cecily and Logan did both take into consideration the short time span and have talks with themselves over how quickly their relationship was moving. Moving the premise of helping Cecily with a sticky problem, Logan finds out plenty to help Dylan and hurt Dragonstar. Unfortunately Cecily was already preparing herself for the coming truths.

This installment actually ended up being better than this reader expected at the outset and made me wish for more installments. For my taste the series had just found its footing and had more stories to tell.

The Dragonstar clan is under attack, endangered by an insidious enemy. Now a top sentry must go undercover, but the task will be more than he bargained for...

Desperate to save his clan from a deadly biological threat and put an end to the war, Dragonstar sentry Logan Kelly infiltrates the Wyvernmoons. Posing as a rogue dragon without a clan, he quickly realizes how close the Wyvermoons are to anarchy. Their leader has recently died, their ranks are thin, and their only hope lies in Cecily Fournier, the princess whose grasp on the throne is shaky at best. All Logan has to do is stick around long enough to see his enemies fail.

The plan is foolproof. Until he falls for Cecily.

What starts as an uneasy alliance turns into an uncontrollable passion. As the spark between them gets hotter, Logan discovers the Wyvermoon's hidden agenda. But how can he bring down the Wyvermoons without exposing himself as a traitor to the woman he loves?

The end of the Dragon's Heat series happens with a roar. Princess Cecily Fournier has inherited the Wyvernmoon clan of dragon shifters because of the death of her father and then her brother by the Dragonstars clan. As she tries to discover what's happening inside her clan from her own "conciel" of advisors, Cecily is finding male prejudice running rampant through her clan, that is slowly starving because of the monetary drains her father has put upon all her people. Dragonstar sentry Logan Kerry has changed his looks and set off on a mission to infiltrate the Wyvernmoon clan with the outcome being destruction of their secret lab that has slowly poisoned members of the Dragonstars. Each has met and fallen for each other, and though Cecily has been honest with Logan, the same can not be said of him. Though he loves Cecily, his loyalty to his clan must come first, even though she will definitely be hurt by everything he has done. HOT-sexy dragons! Oh, yes, this book is good!

3 1/2* Logan, a Dragonstar sentry, infiltrates the Wyvernmoon dragon clan to end their biological warfare against the Dragonstars. But things get complicated when he falls for the Wyvernmoon princess, Cecily. He's caught between betraying his king and the woman he loves.

I docked this book a half a star because I felt the book was a bit bland even though Logan was one of my favorite Dragonstars and I was looking forward to his book. Also, one of my biggest pet peeves is in this book--a virgin who acts like a porn star. Give me a break. Still, the complication of Logan having to choose between Dylan and Cecily was a good one, which is why I rounded up to 4*s.

Since this was probably the last book in the series, I would have liked to have seen an epilogue. I would have liked to have seen Logan & Cecily, Dylan & Phoebe, and Quinn & Jazz a few months to a year down the road.

My feelings were like Logan's, I was tired of the Wyvermoon's and their actions. I thought he had a great plan to do something about it, so I couldn't get why the others were so mad.

I was glad to see that Cecily wasn't in on the evil plan. I hated how the council treated her so badly, that she was considered to be nothing. You knew that things would happen just the way they did. I knew that Logan would fall for Cecily, that she would discover the plan, and then things would fall in the capper and of course it would happen when things went to hell.

I did like how things resolved. It seems like the best thing for everyone involved.

Completely predictable. The writing of this book is exactly the same premise as the first two books with little divergence from the script. I wasn't surprised by this but one could hope.
I think the writer would do better if she stuck to writing action adventure books without females, the females in all 3 books in the series are essentially the same character in different guise. Every female that had a part in the books was a "I've been hurt by males in my past so I'm going to take it out on you" kind of personality, and it really doesn't have to be that way.
I like the way the script for Logan was handled when Cecily isnt being Bipolar.

This book was even better than the first two. So much built-in conflict. Lots of incredible and inventive love scenes. Excellent external conflict and driving plot lines. Logan and Cecily made a great pair. Both very damaged and only able to survive the world as a couple. Cecily was such a strong heroine, befitting her royal status and Logan is her perfect match.

Loved Logan & Cecily. I was surprised when they hooked up but I probably shouldn't have been. All of Tessa Adam's Dragon's Heat book are full of surprises! I can't say this was my favorite of the series but I did enjoy it. I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Absolutely fantastic!!! It was very frustrating at times, especially in the 2nd half of the book, but this story was amazing. I sincerely hope in her next book, she gives us little details about Logan's life with Ceciley in South Dakota. I love this series.

This series showed promise, I wished there were more books to come as it would have been interesting to see more of the other dragon clans and the other dragon sentries in Dragonstar. And these books would have benefitted from some good editing.

I really liked the storyline about Logan...I wish there was another book! The characters showed depth, and I loved the dialogue between them. Interesting to find out there was yet another clan affected by the virus & I'd love to hear more about their story...hint hint. :)

I wasn't as into Logan's story as I was with Dylan and Quinn. I also thought we would get more of all three couples but we hardly got anything from Dylan/Phoebe and Quinn/Jasmin. There were just a few mentions here and there. The spice was still top notch in this book.

Really like the characters, and enjoyed the other clan being the main focus. Great twists. Nice not having the main focus being the medical attack.
