The author shares his personal journey through intense health challenges and explains how the Lord used these times to draw him closer to Himself. Dr. Bish writes very honestly about his struggles, which helped me as the reader relate to him, even without having been through the exact same physical difficulty.
It is an encouraging, insightful read with many lessons about responding to the trials of life and allowing God to transform us through them.

Not sure if it because i personally know this author, and know his preaching or because i was able to relate in so many ways. I can’t even put into words how easy this book flowed. This was written from the heart. And his testimony may be different than others, the feelings, the pain and the steps to get through seem to be all the same.

If you don’t believe in God, read it.

If you do believe in God, read it.

This book is a very insightful read. A great detailing of a man's fight with pneumonia and cancer, leading to the eventual loss of his leg. This book walks you through his life immediately preceding and during the ordeal, and details how it affected him and his relationship with God. This book is very well written, and it can be an encouragement to anyone who is dealing with pain - physical or emotional. Over all it is a helpful, well paced and enjoyable read.
