Willow has loved writing since she was in high school (many ages ago). Whether she’s writing romance or sitting outside by the bonfire reading a good book, Willow loves the magic of the written word.
Story idea and characters have such promise but do not live up to their potential. Inconsistent details and word choice errors are distracting. Some problems include using queue instead of cue; from instead of for; and rouse instead of ruse. In one scene, Lincoln's name is switched to Mason. Too much focus is given to the characters' attraction and feelings and not enough on the development of a successful plot. I wanted to see the Eagle Tactical Team in action working a case. This book introduces the team members but does not develop them. The reader should not have to read a second book before getting a clear understanding of the purpose of this group. This story seems to be a teaser for other books and incomplete on its own. I feel disappointed that this book does not deliver. Better editing would help with clarity and development. I would like to read an improved version of this story as I like the premise but not the execution. Thanks to the author for a complimentary copy of this title through Voracious Readers Only.

Overall, this book was a good read. The two main characters were complex and had complicated lives, which made the story entertaining, but I had so many questions.
*SPOILERS*
For being a CIA agent, Arielle felt very naive to me. She presented herself as very fragile from the beginning, and only had a few moments that really showed she was CIA. I also had no idea how Emma was involved with the bounty hunters, so I was a little confused about how that had happened. Overall, the book did feel a little rushed, only to come to a cliffhanger at the end. I enjoyed what was here, but I wanted more questions to be answered.

I love this story! Prepare for action from cover to cover! It's fast paced, and fun! it draws you in so you are excited to learn what comes next. I might have read the next book in the series before I stopped in to write my review! Oops! I cannot wait for the next books in the series to be released.
I think Jaxson is my favourite character he is caring and kind. I know the bad guys won't agree with that though. I love the whole team dynamics and the way they all work together and care for each other.
I was not sure about the HFN in the beginning but having read book 2 already... I am promised a series end HEA so building the suspense till the end! Lol
Full disclosure: I received a free copy of the book from Voracious Readers Only to write a review but the opinion shared here is my own.
I really wanted to like this book but i had a few problems with it.
Ariella moves to an off-grid log cabin, running away from New York City and an ex-husband who has been jailed for a Ponzi-scheme where he had stolen lots of money.
Her plight for safety is ruined when her car pitches itself nearly off a ravine. She is rescued by the handsome Jaxson.
Right from the very opening sequences there is a instant attraction between Ariella and Jaxson however, i found it very forced.
Throughout reading i found the sequences very rushed and i couldn't connect with the characters. It felt like the author tried to go from one action scene to the next without stopping. It felt rushed.
Also, i didnt like it when Jaxson accused Ariella of lying to him. She had just met the bloke and she was expected to share her deepest, darkest secrets. She never lied once she withheld information but never lied.
I really wanted to like this book but i just couldnt, the biggest pet peeve of mine is finishing the story on a unfinished plot line. No real cliff hangers so to speak but a ploy for the author to entice you to get the next book. Which sadly i wont be doing.
Thank you to the author for a complimentary copy with voracious reader.

I thought this was a good read. Jaxson and Ariella's story was an engaging blend of slow burning romance, tension, drama and emotion. I though the characters were likable and the sparks between them easy to feel. This is my unprejudiced, elective review.
This book ends in a cliffhanger and I dislike that. That’s only not annoying if you’re following one singular storyline the whole series and you have several really good pause points where things feel partially resolved for now. Two reasons why this one fails on that:
1. She starts a new story with new characters in the epilogue of the first book before the first story finishes.
2. This isn’t a series that follows one singular story. There are at least 5 different ones. In a case like that you need to resolve the first story in the first book before starting the second story.
Plus, I don’t know what Skyler’s effing problem is, but she’s the literal second worst. She’s only not the worst because Emma beats her. And I don’t think the timing of Skylar showing up to Jaxon’s house is a coincidence. It is too oddly timed that she showed up the same time as Emma.
I would bet cookies that she is also in league with the off grid guys and that’s at least part of the reason for her attitude.
Oh, and I think Jayden is doing something undercover. I don’t think he’s with those off grid guys unless he thinks he’s serving some good purpose by being there.
Also, the further I got in this book, the less I liked Ariella. Ariella got slightly better at the end but she was super annoying for awhile there.
Update: I initially wrote that Ariella probably got better in the second book when the story continued. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Ariella actually gets worse and worse as book two goes on. I’m not going give away too much, but any character spending two books pouting and complaining about a second character adhering to a situation character one insisted on over the objection of the second character (and then they later mutually agreed upon) is insufferable. I don’t care if she missed a note. She insisted she couldn’t do a relationship against what they both knew he wanted and for her to spend 1/4 of this book and at least 1/2 the next complaining that she got the no relationship situation she said she wanted is hard to take.
And she doesn’t talk to him about it and communicate that she now wants something different like a grown ass woman. She pouts and complains and throws out insults and argues with everyone trying to tell her she’s misinterpreting things.
She’s just really insufferable and her worsening behavior ruined it for me.

As a whole this book is pretty decent. Although it is not something I would recommend as a must read to my friends I still enjoyed the book very much. The pacing of the story line is nice not fast nor slow, everything feels very well paced and planned. Each part of the characters backstories coming to light at just the right time.
The character building is alright, it could be better as it is hard to really determine the motivations and main traits of all the characters. And usually I like to have a bit more insight about those central to the plot. Though as this is only the first book in the series perhaps there is more development in future books. I just wish I could get to know more about who Jaxson, Isabella and Arielle are. As the book is too long to know as little as what is portrayed.
The world building in the book is alright, the settings are more mentioned than described so a more active imagination is required if you want to see the events unfold. Not an issue for me but for some this would be more frustrating.
Lastly I think the plot of this book is quite good. Imaginative if I say so myself. It's one of many in a large romance genre but it stands apart as the characters have a more real aspect to themselves and are far from perfect. This complements the interesting story line about a woman running from the misdeeds of her ex-husband and coming across a magical little world in a quiet and snowy town.
I received a free copy from Voracious Readers Only. This review was done of my own will and holds my personal opinion with no coercion.
This is my first time reading this author. I received an ARC from BookSirens.
I feel like I read half a book and the rest of the story is continued in further books. There were a lot of unanswered questions and while the romance was there, it was kind of just fleeting /beginning to form and so this is probably part of the reason why I feel like it’s half a story. I also found descriptions odd/awkward like when Izzie ‘squeals’ - I’d assume it was because she was happy but in this case, it was used to describe her whining attitude. Or when Jason ‘straddles’ Ariella, it makes it sound like he’s on top of her but he’s actually just stood in front of her with his legs open on either side of hers whilst she’s sitting down. There’s some action but it gets looked over so no investigation is ever really done about it.
I would’ve liked more depth in development to the story. There were incidences that happen but nothing eventuates from it. Like at the start, Jason returns home and Declan is sleeping on the couch and he’s about to go to sleep when ‘a loud crash vibrated through the house’ and it’s like, i don’t know what that was, maybe it was an earthquake or an avalanche - he doubts it but that’s about it and heads back to bed? What was the point of including it in the story?
Maybe I’m missing something but a lot of the scenes felt like this. It was just left unanswered. Hence 3 Stars. It was just OK.
Ariella has finally escaped New York, but her misfortune follows her. Crashing her car and getting stuck the snow was just a start and to top it all off, her newly purchased cabin has no electricity, or heat! Lucky for her, her neighbor Jaxson, special forces and single dad, is ready with a helping hand. Sparks immediately fly, but they’re both cautious with moving forward. Jaxson wants more than a fling, but Ariella can’t allow herself to get any closer to him than just that. As secrets are revealed and danger lurks closer, they find that staying away from each other is not that easy to do.
I actually quite enjoyed this book! A lot happens in not that many pages (about 150 in my copy), but it was fast-paced and action scenes were well spaced out. Yes, there are some standard tropes, but it wasn’t over the top, and I liked that secrets were revealed bit by bit so that my attention never strayed too far. I thought Ariella and Jaxson were well written and well-matched, though I kind of already have a soft spot for Lincoln (who doesn’t love a man who can cook?). I liked the brotherhood the men had together and it was clear they cared for each other deeply. Overall, a really good read and will be looking forward to what comes next for Ariella and Jaxson.
Thank you Voracious Readers and Willow Fox for my copy!
Ariella Cole had a secret that she couldn't share, her husband was in prison and she was on the run, she hadn't done anything wrong but there was a price on her head.
Ariella found herself half way up a switchback mountain road, her car wheels hanging over a ravine, in thick snow, with no boots and a dead phone, could things get any worse.....oh yes they could.
Jaxson Monroe and three of his ex special forces buddies had set up Eagle Tactical, Jaxson's life was slightly different to theirs, he had a three year old daughter, result of a one night stand.
This story follows Jaxson's rescuing of Ariella, the secrets exposed by his team, the danger that they were all in, the immediate attraction between Ariella and Jaxson and the reasons that they couldn't be together.
I am not usually a fan of HFN endings, I do like a book to finish with no loose ends and this one has a lot of loose ends, however this is a good story and I have already downloaded the rest of the series.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary
This is a single dad slow burn romance and it's a good one!
Jaxson is a former soldier working for Eagle Tactical. His quiet lifestyle is interrupted when Ariella moves into a Cabin close to him. His job causes him to be more cautious than normal and immediately started suspecting that Ariella had secrets and boy did she have secrets!
Jaxson is extremely overprotective and it seems like he is like that with everyone in his life. He becomes overprotective of Ariella immediately because she was clearly running from something...However, her past wasn't her fault. It still felt like betrayal to Jaxson and his friends though because she wasn't honest. He does come to the party though when he finds out there is a bounty on Ariella because of her past.
I was jumping for joy when they finally got together but then something comes up which forces them to just be friends...On to book 2.
After her husband is convicted in a ponzi scheme, Ariella divorces him and flees to Breckinridge, wanting to live off the grid and escape the thousands of people that doubt her innocence. On her way to her new home, her car almost slides off the mountain and she's rescued by Jaxson. Feeling protective of her from the start, he helps her get settled in her cabin. When her new job enlists Eagle Tactical to do a background check, Jaxson is furious at all the secrets she's been keeping. But when her enemies catch up to her, he'll put his own life on the line to rescue her. Overall I liked this suspenseful romance. The storyline at times felt a little jumbled and disorganized. I loved the relationship between Jaxson and his daughter. This book ended with their story left hanging so I can't wait to find out what happens next with Ariella and Jaxson now that he's her boss. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I did like this book, but there were some points which seemed unbelievable.
For example, a CIA operative should know that using a Credit Card would make finding her an easy job. Also she didn't change her name at all. Using her maiden name is easily found from public marriage/divorce records, so other than moving to a small remote place, she didn't really go 'off-grid' or try to hide.
Overall though, I did like this book and the characters. I didn't like how abruptly it ended, but I appreciate that sometimes happens when there are more books in the series.
It was also strange saying Epilogue, but this was a sneak preview from another book. Epilogues are usually extended from the main book, like an extra chapter leading into the next book.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
This story grabbed me from the first page and held on. This is my first story by the author and I will definitely be continuing the series to learn what happens next.
The relationship building between Ariella and Jaxson starts off with him as her savior and he keeps on helping her. Their time together has that glimmer of fate and their lives slip together.
His connections with Eagle Tactical make him and his team perfect allies, but how many secrets are too many to over come?
Danger swoops in from so many angles, it was had to keep track of who was after her and why.
Story ends with initial crisis averted, but new gauntlet is thrown down. I can't wait to read book 2 to see how long their new agreement lasts.

Although this book can be read as a sort of standalone from the beginning till approximately the last chapter it’s last chapter leaves you wanting more as your needing the HEA which means you’ll need to read the next book, to see if this book gives book 1 the HEA
This book is of how Ariella (who is looking to go off grid and start over, due to her ex husband (now in prison due to embezzlement and corruption) who involved her in his scheme without her knowledge and also from her being an ex CIA operative) and how she meets Jaxson (ex special forces, now a part owner with some of his ex military buddies of Eagle Tactictal a private security & surveillance company), this book kept me hooked from beginning to end, you won’t be disappointed in reading this it has everything in it.
I am not saying I didn’t have high hopes when I started, I just wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did.
I don’t usually read too much romance but I was hooked when I received an email from Voracious Readers. And as fan of Nora Roberts, I love a bit of romance with suspense involved. I got this book as a complimentary copy from the author via Voracious Readers.
Jaxon and the other guys charmed me with their attitudes and I would relate to Ariella if I ever found myself in a cabin in the woods. I may love camping (writing this in a tent) but I still can’t chop firewood.
I did find Ariella’s character a bit back and forth, sometimes she was a strong female and other times she seemed weak.
I read it fairly quickly when I actually got a chance to sit down and read.
Overall this book did impress me. I would recommend it for fans of Nora Roberts suspense romance who want a bit more smut and a shorter story.
Ariella is running. Running away from New York, her old life, her ex, oh and the people out to get her. Unfortunately she runs right into a tree and nearly slides off a ravine. Luckily Jaxon finds her and offers aid. Can he get her to open up or will her omissions make her a lost cause to those chasing her? Much of this book felt incomplete. I liked the idea of Ariella being the victim of her husband’s crime and the idea of her old job, but like those two things were total contradictions in the way that it was explained. I liked the way Ariella was introduced, it did get me interested in reading straight away, however then it dropped off a little bit. Ariella and Jaxon’s relationship was steamy in parts but totally unfinished. I received a free copy of this book from Voracious Readers in exchange for an honest review.
Jaxson and Ariella keeps this action packed story alive. She is trying to get a second chance to jumpstart her life after her husband was accused of embezzlement. Buying a cabin in the mountains was suppose to be her new beginning. When she has an accident, Jaxson comes to her aid and one look was all it took for him to be drawn in to Ariella. When Jaxson's team is hired to do a security check on Ariella, her past comes up and Jaxson is mad. He thinks she deliberately lied to him. Will this be the end to a fast growing relationship and when her past comes back to interfere with everything she was trying to put in place. Will she have to uproot herself again? This story does not end here but makes you wonder what is going to happen next!

I obtained a copy of this book from voracious readers and this is my honest review. This is the 1st book in a series and tells the story of Ariella and Jaxson. It is set in a small town in Montana where jaxson works in a Tactical security team and Ariella has just moved to the town to escape problems in her previous life. From the first page this was an easy book to get into with an interesting storyline, I really cared about Jaxson and Ariella and I wanted their relationship to succeed, however the book ended before their romance had even got off the ground so I will have to read book two in the series to find out what happens next. I can't wait to read the next book in this series of four books.
The first book in the series lays a solid foundation introducing primary and supporting characters, We are introduced to Ariella and Jaxson. She is seeking a new beginning while maintaining a low profile. Jaxson is former military, now part of a business comprised of his friends and fellow soldiers. From the moment they meet there is an attraction the sparks between them. Secrets and the danger they bring cause drama and action to unfold.
When chose this novel I expected the couples story to wrap up in one book. Surprise...it actually continues into the next book. That isn't a problem for me. I look forward to see how things unfold for not only Ariella and Jaxson, but for the characters from Tactical Security.
Ariella is on the run for her life and buys a remote cabin sight unseen. On her way to the cabin she slips and slides due to snow and ice on the road. Finally stopping after spinning out hitting a tree, she gets out but can't get her bag or boots out of the trunk. She takes off walking and then being tired she just curls up in the middle of the road to rest. Jaxson sees her while on his way home and stops. Finding out she's basically unconscious, he puts her in his truck and takes her home to his place. Ariella wakes up and meets Jaxson, telling him some of her story, but not all of it. Lots of secrets, action, suspense and romance to the rescue. I got a free copy and am giving my opinion freely and voluntarily. Willow Fox is a new to me author but I will be reading more of her.
This is the beginning of a series. Ariella is trying to start fresh out of a bad marriage. She's been accused along with her husband of the worst thing possible -stealing their client's money. When the husband is sent to jail, she wants that fresh start.
However, making it to her new home, her car breaks down. A kind stranger named Jaxson helps her get assistance with her car and to her house. From there, everything goes downhill,
Everybody has secrets. Secrets that unravel and are revealed.
She doesn't want to share all her past. Jaxson has a daughter needing to be shielded from harm,
But when Ariella's past comes to visit, what good comes of that? This series ends on a cliffhanger of sorts. Can't wait to pick up where this leaves off.
This is the first book in the Eagle Tactical series and is Ariella and Jaxson's story. He is ex special forces and has great instincts and is immediately suspicious of his new neighbor. He suspects that Ariella is harboring secrets and he's right on the money. He finds her attractive but is concern with what his companies background check on her uncovers. This is a good book with some twists and a slow burn romance. It's the first book in the series and it does end in a cliffhanger but I understand that the series does end with an HEA. I read a review copy via Voracious Readers and voluntarily chose to review it.
Enjoyed my first ever book by Willow Fox. A romance between a strong alpha male and troubled yet confident women running from her past. The story had action/suspense, angst, sexy love and friendship. The story kept me wanting more but was disappointed that thebook ended before a true relationship developed between the two main characters -cliff hanger…leaving you to continue with the next book in the series to have some closure on their relationship. Full expecting the other books in the series to be stories of each of the hunky Eagle Tactical team but also wonder if they too will each have cliff hangers leading to they next book? Received a copy from www.voraciousreadersonly.com
It was a good story overall. I liked Ariella and Jaxson and his daughter Izzy was very cute. There were a few parts that got to me though with the writing of the story. In one part he tells her about his daughter and how the mom didn’t want her and wanted him to sign papers so she could have her adopted when she was born then a day later Ariella asks is the mom in her life. Also at the diner his daughter Izzy says her daddy doesn’t have a girlfriend and then later that day Ariella asks Izzy if her daddy has a girlfriend. I feel some things were missed in the editing phase but overall it was an enjoyable read.
I enjoyed this book, but I was left with the feeling that it was not quite what it could be. Story idea and characters have such promise but do not live up to their potential. It was a little disjointed and at times came with new information that didn't quite fit or made things a little less unbelievable. It very much has the feel of a new author feeling their way and as said the series/book has a lot of potential and the premise of the story is excellent and I will try the next books.
Jaxson and Ariella are great characters but I feel some things were missed in the editing phase but overall it was an enjoyable read.
I have a new hobby of finding authors living their dream to become a bestselling author. Willow Fox is my second find in the last couple of weeks. Worst part of the story was finding out I have to wait until May for the next installment. Absolutely loved and connected with the characters. Also, a unique story line. I usually stick with fantasy romance, but I wasn’t disappointed. Willow successfully drew me in and made me feel what the characters were feeling. I hope she finds success and continues to share her talent with readers.
EXPOSE by Willow Foxis an intriguing, suspenseful, steamy filled with action and danger.. a romantic suspense story of Jaxson and Ariella.. a former military and a former CIA agent..Ariella is on the run and hiding when her ex husband went on a trial and went to jail for all th crimes he commited? so she bought a cabin unseen in the small town. but the problem she left behind is now catching up with her;twice ben jkdnapp and got rescued.. well done!

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story was about Ariella and Jaxson. Ariella wanted a new life after her husband was accused of embezzlement, so now she bought a cabin in the mountain. Jaxson and his team had been hired to do a security check on Ariella. Jaxson and Ariella started to see each other but bad things in the past come back to caused a bit of trouble with their relationship the last thing.
