Rate this book
If you are a homeschooler, or are married to one, you know it's true! This special breed of wife and mother is a largely unsung hero...that is until Todd Wilson decided to raise awareness, raise eyebrows, and raise some laughter. Sprinkled in between the seriously practical side of this book to husbands are Todd's own humorous cartoons. You'll need one for every homeschooling friend and church library!

My wife and I read this together in the evenings as a couples devotional. While (fortunately) I've avoided some of the things the author shared stories about, it's always helpful to have reminders what I should be doing and WHY I should be doing those things. It was also helpful to read the book with my wife so we could speak frankly about what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. It allowed us to laugh about some things, realize how much we both appreciate one another and all the work that we both do to support this family, make this house a home and educate our children. It was a fun read and helped me understand how I can better support my homeschooling wife as well as reaffirm our desires to homeschool.

I know this book is for the dads. But for us hs moms...it was very encouraging, uplifting, etc. IF by chance you can get your husband to read this...he will know exactly what you are always trying to say but can't seem to communicate in "his" language. For the Dad's debating on whether to read this...it will give you greater insight into a homeschooling mom's head. IT WILL BE WORTH IT...you will have an extremely HAPPY HS WIFE! The chapters Todd chose to write on were great~ my favorites were on encouragement, listening ear, money for books, prayer, & muscle.

This book helped me realize that I'm not crazy or weird. I'm just like most other homeschool moms - stressed out!

Seriously, I laughed a lot while reading this book. And nodded my head over and over in agreement. The author completely understands the heart and mind of homeschooling moms and offers valuable insight to the husbands. And great ways in which to support them as well.

Highly recommended for moms and dads.

Great Read! I wanted to read this book before giving to my husband to read to ensure it was worthwhile and beneficial. It only took 2 hours to read (with distractions), was lighthearted, funny, and very relatable. Every homeschooling dad should read this (preferably before the start of a new homeschool year). I think homeschooling moms would find this book to both validate their experience/perspective as well as encourage and uplift.

I have seen Todd Wilson many times at different homeschool conventions and, hands down, he is my favorite speaker! This book is a fantastic reminder, not only to just dads of homeschooling moms, but to dads and husbands everywhere to love, respect and cherish our wives. It is written very well and his use of wit and humour will definitely keep you interested. A "MUST READ" for every dad!

I know, it's a book for men. But, my husband went to the guy's lecture and thought it was great and so he bought the book and I figure that at least one of us should actually read it. It is good. very good. Short, well laid out, funny and accurate. I hope Bryan gets around to reading it.

Okay, yes, I am the mom and I still read this book. My husband and I heard Todd speak at a homeschool encouragement night in Michigan. We bought several books including their Christmas board game. Spot on and encouraging.

Light-hearted, funny, but some very good pointers to understanding our wives in the journey of homeschooling.

Short, entertaining, and to the point. It’s not just about homeschooling but Christian husbandry. If you haven’t already reached these conclusions, it’s a quick refresher.
