When Ashley walks into a shop run by the vampire, Verloren, they both get the surprise of their lives. Ash is about to learn that she’s not just another pretty young woman, while Verloren is astonished to find himself falling in love. But how can a vampire love a human? And what if the human isn’t as human as she seems? When Ash’s true nature reveals itself, the entire power structure of the world’s outsiders teeters on the brink of destruction. Verloren and Ash become more and more terrified as they grope their way toward the ultimate truth: that they hold the key to something much larger than their own survival.

I got this a few years back for free from Amazon, but never got to it even if I like C.V. Hunt quite a bit. Being stranded at my parents' house this whole week, with no access to my laptop, I decided to give this a try.

The story is nice, as you can tell from the synopsis. It's just that it feels rushed, forced somehow. The main characters find out quickly why they are so attracted to each other, and what is so special about Ash. While it's ok because it will be a fast read, it's not enough, and that frustrated me. That and the fact the Ash felt inconsistent without appearing bipolar. She desired what happened to her, but she broke down as soon as she was judged for it. Then she gets all strong again. It felt unnatural and I didn't like it.

I also dislike Hunt's idea of vampires: they are some kind of albinos (white skin and hair) without pointed teeth. Although Verloren got compared to Kurt Cobain, I didn't like his description, and he wasn't attractive in my head. The same goes for his partner.

Anyway, maybe you should give it a try and decide for yourself if this trilogy is worth it. I won't be pursuing it.

Endlessly by C.V. Hunt is a mesmerizing and gripping Paranormal story, with elements of Horror, Fantasy and Romance. It's a highly addictive and very enjoyable read. C.V. Hunt has a way of telling the story in a way that makes you hold your breath and turn the pages frantically, and there's simply no way you could put the book down once you've started reading!

Verloren is a vampire with Curt Cobain's looks, who runs a paranormal store in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is no Twilight-kind-of-vampire, no sparkles and squirrel-eating habits. He's a bad-ass (forgive my language) kind of vampire, goth-looking, with albino-like skin and long hair. He is the kind of vampire that you should stay away from. He feeds on human blood, because that's the only thing that keeps him alive. And yes, he's very much alive, his heart is beating, his body is warm and even though it hurts his eyes a bit, he can walk in the sun without any serious consequences. Most importantly, though, he has a special ability to see people's auras, and so, just by looking at them, he can tell who they are and how they feel.

The only thing that Verloren is afraid of is death, because vampires have no soul, therefore they can not reincarnate and death brings a final end to their existence. And so Verloren is doing his best to avoid getting into trouble with Quatre, a committee of four people that makes decision for all the supernatural beings, including vampires and incarnates (shape shifters). But when a beautiful and mesmerizing girl walks into his store, Verloren's world is about to be turned up-side-down, as he learns that there are feelings more powerful than fear, feelings like love and lust.

Just when I thought there was nothing more in the Paranormal genre that could surprise me, along comes a book like Endlessly and, with a strong punch in the guts, makes me realize I was wrong.

This book was such a great read! I finished it in few hours, as I was literally glued to it (well, ok, not literally, but it sure felt like it!). It's a fast-paced, action-packed story, with just the perfect amount of horror and romance. There's not a single boring passage in this book, C.V. Hunt makes every word count. I like how the story is told from Verloren's perspective and I'm very thankful to C.V. for using first-person narrative, it makes the story flow seem very natural and the passages are easy and pleasant to read!

The lead characters have amazing chemistry between them, you can almost see the sparkles flying from the pages, but at the same time the romance part of the story is not overwhelming, which I very much appreciate. And then there's the mystery part, which was oh-so-wonderful! I thought the story was really good from the very beginning, but when I reached the part where we learn about Ashley's true form, I was left speechless, with my jaw on the floor. What an amazing idea this was, C.V!
Endlessly has this thing I like to call a "WOW factor", that's the thing that makes you nod in excitement while reading one passage after another, and go "wooow, that's so cool!". I definitely recommend it to all Paranormal fans! I can't wait for the sequel!

Vorloren is an old vampire with a special gift - he can see auras surrounding every living thing on the planet.. from their auras he can tell what type of being they are...
and in this universe there are a lot of different types out there...
he runs a book shop with two friends then one day a girl walks into the shop and he is speechless....he does not know what she is ... he has never met a being on the planet that he could not identify..
This world has certain rules and one of the most important one is that vampires can only make another vampire from humans - not other incarnates ( their name for anyone not human) and it is crazy simple to make a vampire .. just bite! .. but the vampire must have permission first ... not simple..
Verloren will not break the rules - but he can not stay away from Ashley and she learns what she is and how she can get what she wants, which is Vorloren... forever!!
I really enjoyed this story and was overjoyed to find there were three books written about this world... loving this bright fresh paranormal romp

One thing about this story, it grows: exponentially. It starts of with Verloren, a supernatural vampire (who can see the auras of other beings), awesome right? Then we meet his best friends, Jason (a shape-shifting werewolf) and Jessica (a ultra-intelligent witch) that help him run an undercover supernatural music/book/everything-else-you-can-find store.
Now things get interesting when Ash, short for Ashley, walks into the store one day. Her unique aura colouring instantly grabs the attention of Verloren because he can't figure out what she is, supernaturally-speaking. He becomes obsessed with her, but romantically, not psychotically. Ash feels the draw to him as well.
It's not until they figure out what Ash really is that things really get going. Soon her and Verloren are fighting for their lives against the The Quatre, the supernatural court consisting of a vampire, werewolf, shaman and faerie that rule all supernaturals, who wish to see them killed. Heavy stuff. But overall, an amazing book. I love the world and the ideas that were created in this book and I'll definitely be reading the second one.

Endlessly gave me a surprise with such a unique plot and well thought out world. I enjoyed the uniqueness of not only the world but the characters. This book provided me with a fresh look into the world of the paranormal. My only complaint would be the language. I felt that the use of the language became a little excessive and diminished the quality of the writing. I will be keeping my eye out for the sequel though.

Verloren and Ash become more and more terrified as they grope their way toward the ultimate truth: that they hold the key to something much larger than their own survival.
MINI SPOILERS:
I have to say that I expected a little more dramatic buildup from reading the back cover and was a little disappointed that it didn't feel as though Ash and Verloren were teetering on the brink of anything. I didn't get the feeling that they were actually scared of what was going to happen. Ash wasn't scared of anything and Verloren seemed a little worried at parts, but the actions of the two of them really didn't speak volumes in that regard. They still did what they wanted and...well...um...the chemistry between the two was undeniable. A couple of questions that I wonder is: why they bothered running if they were going to meet the Quatre anyway and did Jessica meet her end unnecessarily? The thought process was there...and the story line had a TON of potential. I enjoyed the idea of the incarnates and the different types of new "non-humans" and those ideas seemed to be developed well. I also think that even the development of what a vampire was and how different they were from your stereotypical vampire was good. The writing was definitely more enjoyable than that of another popular vampire novel series. =) I would have enjoyed it more if there weren't so many f-bombs, but then again, it fit the characters of the book well enough.
I think the book deserves 3 1/2 stars. I think that it ended too quickly and that more could have been said about life after the Quatre and how things changed. I would be interested in reading the second novel in the series. My curiosity was peaked and I care enough about Ash and Verloren to see what happens.

Endlessly is a great book and a vacation from your typical vampire books. In this book you get romance, passion, and also different types of friendships. I really liked how this book dose not lag on,i mean thing happen relatively fast. The only thing about it going fast was that it dident make me fall in love withe the main characters! I mean if the two main characters were to die i wont cry i would just get over it,i like to read a book that makes me fall in love with its characters and i dident really get that feeling reading Endlessly. When Jessica died i was kinda surprised but i dident miss her that much. But, i wish she would have come out more.I think i would have really liked her character. She only came out a little bit in the book but everything she told Verloren, well really Varin Holstine i dident think she deserved to die.I couldn't believe everything that she told him about his human life she answered so many questions about his human life as a born knowing(which explains why he is the only vampire who can see Auras. His love for Ash is something so deep rooted, and passionate that i was not shocked at all when Jessica told them they were sole mates. Though I was shocked when she told them about everything else that she told them everything else about his human life, and that Ash was going to have a baby that Kale killed!! The Quatre is so ruthless and evil! especially Sara! The only good one was Hania hes the only one that wasn't blinded by the power of greed and power. In the end i was happy for every one i was also glad that the Quatre was no more! Sara,Kale, and Pedro all died this way they cant hurt anyone any more!!the only thing i dident get was that If Sara drank the blood so the other Dragons which made her immortal how is it shes dead (maybe shes not dead is what im thinking).I cant wait until the next one,Legacy comes out im hoping it makes me fall in love with the characters more.

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect when starting this. I have read much of the newer books from C.V. Hunt and she is definitely a favorite author. However, because this could be called a paranormal romance, I was a bit apprehensive. I should have read this so much sooner. Upon finishing it, I am very impressed with the author's versatility. The interrelatedness of the characters and the interactions between them were so intriguing. The Ash character was especially fascinating. I practically read this nonstop. It was a really nice change of pace for me. I can't wait to read the others in the trilogy.

This is a fantastic book for any super-natural lover! It's all around fun to read! It brings forth a new perspective on vampires and the world/realm we live in. The love story isn't cliche, yet it uses aspects and feelings we can all relate with. This is a very new and fresh universe, and I can't wait for the books to come.

The writing was excellent and it definitely kept my attention. It was a unique plot, definitely different from other Vampire novels i've read.

I just don't think this was a book for my tastes. I think maybe it almost had too much supernatural characteristics for me to like.

Read my review on my website.

Verloren is a vampire in a world where vampires, werewolves, witches and other supernatural beings live alongside humans, ruled by The Quatre. But Verloren isn’t any normal vampire, since he can sees auras, which is a talent vampires don’t naturally have. He’s leading a fairly secluded life, terrified to do anything wrong since he has run into The Quatre once already, and it didn’t end very well. He runs a shop and works there together with a werewolf and witch, but he also gets along with his nextdoor neighhour who is a human. That’s not to say Verloren doesn’t drink human blood because he does, but mostly prostitutes and other people who won’t be missed. Our vampire is up for the scare of his life though, as one day a girl stumbles into his shop. Although he doesn’t know the girl and has never seen her before, he does feel an instant connection to her, and he knows right away that she’s an incarnate, a supernatural being. He befriends the girl, and promises to help her find out who – and more importantly, what – she really is. But that promise might have desastrous consequence for the both of them.

After reading the back cover of Endlessly, I was worried that the story might be too familiar, since there was nothing there that I hadn’t heard before, or read before for that matter, or that seemed even remotely original. Don’t let it misguide you though. Endlessly offers a very original take on vampires that I’ve never read before, and even for that alone, this book is definately worth reading.

In the world described by C.V. Hunt in this novel, incarnates and born knowings roam this earth alongside with humans, while the latter are unaware that the first even exists. Vampires aren’t necesserily dead – what? you say, but it does work out quite well – and sunlight doesn’t burn them in an instant. They don’t sleep in coffins, and when they have sex it tends to get very messy, and possibly even deadly, especially if their partner is not a vampire. Werewolves aren’t bound to change once every full moon, but they can change whenever they want. Moreover, they devour their victims in a most gruesome way. But vampires, werewolves and witches…that’s just the top of the pyramid. Imagine dragons, leprachauns, trolls, every single supernatural being you ever encountered, all mixed together in this novel. It tends to be a bit too much, especially while regarding the rather small size of this novel. And just under 200 pages, it’s a lot to explain and talk about at once. And although I do think the world-building is very original, especially in regards to a Quatre existing of a vampire, werewolf, shaman and faerie ruling all supernaturals, I also believe the author should have either focused on less beings at a time, or expanded the novel. The overflow of knowledge is overwhelming at times.

That said, Verloren makes an interesting protagonist. At first, he appears to be another lonely, lost vampire bound by the orders of The Quatre, and looking for something meaningful in his life. Then it turns out that he isn’t. He actually kills people. And here I was, thinking I’d met another veggie. Don’t get me wrong: I’m all for vampires killing and slaughtering humans, since that’s just about what vampires do. The only thing I find that repulsing about Verloren is that while he goes out to kill humans at night, he communicates and befriends them at day. It made me have complicated and mixed feelings about him. On the one hand, I wanted to like him, because it feels natural for me to like the protagonist of a story. On the other hand, I felt like hating him because he’s the most ignorant hypocrite in the history of vampires. If he communicated with people, but didn’t like them at all, and only did so because he had to, then I would have understood his actions, and why he did choose to kill people for their blood. But since he actually genuinely likes people, his actions raised many question marks in my head. I mean, I know he has to drink blood or else he dies, but he could have at least shown some remorse then, or indicate that this wasn’t really what he wanted to do. This behavior just made him seem very hypocrite, but it did make him interesting. At least he wasn’t the goody-two-shoes type you see all too much in novels, or the standard bad guy we often deem vampires to be.

I liked the overall premise and storyline, of Verloren meeting his soulmate, then finding out who and what she is, and having to run from the Quatre. But there were some minor things that just didn’t make sense. When reading the way Ash reacts to the Quatre in the end – which I’m not going to mention, for the sake of not spoiling anything – it seems stupid for them to have fled the Quatre in the first place. Jessica’s dead seems pointless as well, especially after reading that scene. Also, Ash’s reaction to growing horns, a tail and wings seems very unrealistic. If it were me who grew those things overnight, I’d probably be screaming in anger and frustration. She takes it rather calmly, but then she does burst into tears when other people deem her a monster for the way she looks. That doesn’t really add up.

I would have liked to see a more well-developed storyline – like not running from The Quatre when in the end, things work out the way they do (I sure am being mysterious here, eh?) and a bit more depth to the characters. I especially would have liked to read more about Ash’s thoughts after she is changed. I wish Jessica didn’t have to die, because she did offer some possibilities, being a born knowing and all. And although I did like the romance between Ash and Verloren, and I felt the obvious chemistry between them, I could not help but feel that everything was a bit rushed. Some parts of the storyline are blurry are unnecessary, and the characters could have had more depth. I found the way they handled the loss of Chris and Jessica for instance quite repulsing. Verloren’s best friends just died and the only thing on his mind is making love to his new girlfriend. I would have liked him mourn their deaths more, as it would have made him more likeable as a character.

That said, Endlessly is C.V. Hunt’s debut novel, and it does make a really nice debut. There is some polishing up to do, but I have complete confidence in the author succeeding in that in the sequel, Legacy. On the one hand, I would have liked more plot-building and character-depth, and I couldn’t help but feel that the novel was a bit rushed. On the other hand, I was thoroughly impressed by the world-building, the fast-paced plot and the way this novel glued me to my chair from start to end. It’s a very enjoyable read, and a nice way to spend an otherwise boring evening by reading a different take on vampires, werewolves and supernaturals in general. For originality and being a fresh breeze in urban fantasy, this novel definately gets some extra points. I hope to see the characters evolve and grow in the next novel, and I hope that the storyline develops into something even more interesting. I would definately recommend this novel to vampire fans, and to fans of the supernatural in general. I myself am already looking forward to the sequel.

The first quality the reader will notice is the immediate action. The reader will meet Verloren right off the bat...along with the dreaded Quatre. Verloren is a vampire, but not the sparkly, cutesy kind. He is the goth with the long hair and pale skin with shockingly good looks. He has a beating heart, but no soul. The latter being his main concern in the novel, he is afraid to die (aren't we all?). He has better cause to fear death than the average human due to his non-existent soul. The Quatre are the supernatural creatures who rule the "non-human" world. They are feared, as one word from them can lead to one's immediate demise.

The next character, Ashley, is special and beautiful enough to inspire unusual feelings such as love and desire, in Verloren. The instant magnetism between Ashley and Verloren makes for a great romance in this novel. Their romance appears doomed, however, due to Ashley's very human state. She is the main drive in this book, the catalyst for all of the subsequent events.

This book was a surprisingly fast read. There is plenty of action and drama with just enough horror to keep the reader interested throughout the novel. The romance is perfectly played out while the horror part of the novel remains in the forefront; the main characters are truly and believably in love. The mystery aspect of the novel pulls the whole novel together into one cohesive plot. The reader will love the surprising twists that occur in the novel-especially concerning Ashley! This book is told in from the first-person perspective, Verloren's perspective, making it even better as the story flows seamlessly. Not enough books are told in the male vampire's point of view, this book will really stand out. The ending leads into a sequel which means the reader will get to enjoy another great book from this author!

This novel is higly recommended to paranormal, horror, and romance readers.

I downloaded this book for free from Amazon and wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a really good book and one of the better freebies I've had.

Verloren is a vampire living amongst the humans, but he's a vamp with a slight difference - he can see people's auras. He works and lives with a werewolf and a witch, but humans are not aware of other beings living with them. Everything is hunky dory until a strange, quiet girl coming into the shop he owns and works in. He becomes very quickly obsessed with her - her aura is a little unusual and he can't work out why.

When she returns a few days later he follows her home, scares the living daylights out of her and instead of sending him on his way she invites him in for a chat and a hot chocolate! Not what I would have done that's for sure after seeing some strange looking bloke hiding in a tree near my garden!

Anyway Verloren helps Ash find out what she is - a surprise that's for sure, but now they have to run for their lives before the Quatre (the council who governs all things supernatural) catches them and kills them, just because of what Ash is. Ash decides she doesn't want that fate and so gets Verloren to turn her into a vampire, but instead she becomes a rather bizarre looking hybrid!

Unfortunately the Quatre do catch up with them and things take an odd twist - the ending was not what I expected at all, but was very pleasantly surprised.

I really liked the fact that this book is told from a male point of view - not something I have read very often in the UF/PNR world of books! The writing was good and I loved how Verloren was. He openly admitted to being a murderer and Ash still loved him despite it. I can't wait to get hold of the next book and find out what happens to them next.

This is the first of C.V Hunt's books I've read, and while it didn't knock my socks off, it was an easy and entertaining read. So I will be reading more.

Endlessly, the first book in a trilogy, and really does introduce you to an interesting world of paranormal beings.

Verloren, our male lead, is an old (and I mean old) vampire who parades around in the human world as a goth. Being a vampire in Hunt's world means being albino white, drinking blood and teaming up with werewolves to dispose of the bodies.

Ash, our female lead, is a bit of a nebulous being. At first we think she's human, then she's not, then she's something else and well, where things end up, well I was not expecting that at all.

The story was fast paced, perhaps a little too fast in the romance department, but I can't really complain about insta-love because it is explained and I guess I can kinda see why it happened the way it did.

Anyway, all in all, I didn't love this, nor hate it. It was a very quick read, an easy read and had likable characters moving through a quick plot. Things didn't drag, nor did they get too fast. The pacing was pretty much perfect.

I'd have liked a little more depth to the characters, but I think some of that might come in books 2 and 3. Well I can hope for that anyway.

One thing I noticed:

16% - ... Could open her pedals (petals) and bathe...

Vampire Verloren lives a rather mundane existence, he feeds when necessary, works as a way to pass time, and hangs out with his fellow co-owners of his shop who are species but they have found a habitable existence. When Ashley walks into his store, he is floored. Her aura radiates and looks to be on the verge of a change, but us unsure of it. Verloren doesn't see a future with the woman he is quickly falling deeply for, he is Vampire and she is human, at least for now. He would crush her, but she is not scared of him nor is she backing down from what she feels for Verloren.

Uniquely creative story, unlike any vampire books I have read. Verloren is a monster, he looks like a goth albino and relishes his kills. You would think this would be a deterrent from liking his character, but it is not, he is just as vulnerable and he offers no excuses for what he is. Ashley is a fighter and turns out to be quite remarkable. I thought this was a breath of fresh air.

I liked this story, it was very unique. However, I thought sometimes the characters were a little....harsh and cruel, but maybe that's just me. Then again they're not human so they live by different rules, so making them less human is what the author was probably going for. Also, the whole story was kinda leading towards the meeting with the Quatre, and then the it was over in a few pages. It felt a little anitclimatic. Now for the good things!!! Like I said before the plot was totally orginal, at least to me. I liked how it evolved, and really enjoyed reading it. I was really surprised about how the relationship devloped between the two main characters, and there is a surpise about them that I did not see coming!! Overall a good read and I will definatly try to read the second book! I won this book in First Reads.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were interesting, the plot was unique. I picked up this book because I saw a give away for the second book in the series. It sounded interesting, so I decided I should read the first one first. I am happy that I read it, and have since purchased the second book for my kindle. I liked the 2 main characters Ashley and Verloren. I did find it a little strange that Ashley had no problems adjusting to her new diet of humans after she changed. I did like the relationship between the two of them. The thought of soul mates appeals to me. The fact that the supernatural beings are born as humans, and have to find out what they are as they mature made this book seem different from others in the genre.

In this opening book of the trilogy, author CV Hunt creates a world that feels all-too-possible for anyone afraid of things that go bump in the night. We're introduced to Verloren and Jason, vampire and werewolf friends who comprise a deadly hunt and feed tag team. All is well until Ashley waltzes into their store and triggers a chain of events that involves dragons, fairies, more otherworldly characters, the dreaded Quatre, and a high octane battle royal ending. It's so much more than your average vampire novel that you must read it for yourself.

So here's my first C.V. Hunt book, I don't remember how I discovered it, but it was free and self-published. It's also her debut and I read this before her release of her latest book, Hell's Waiting Room from Grindhouse Press. I do love me some bizarro, some post-apocalyptic, and some vampires. So of course, it's C.V. Hunt and it's vampires.

Endlessly is exactly what you see on the cover. Blood and eternity. One vampire and a human, they love each other endlessly. This supernatural world is filled with more than just vampires, so much that it felt all too real. I've never heard of or read a single YA fantasy writer that built a world with more than just vampires. So why is that such a great thing? Well, if vampires exist and hide in the human world, why can't trolls and fairies and witches and immortals live there too? Why not bring all of fantasy and all of it's wackiness into the real world? Why such a lack of creature diversity?

So basically the book is about a vampire dude who is bored and lonely, he wants some female flesh and it got him in trouble once, and he's about to do it again when he sees the aura of a beautiful incarnate. but that aura had a lot more than just what type of creature she was.

This book managed to avoid the "instalove" cliche that is so overdone in YA. This book also managed not to have a love triangle or it didn't last very long. It also didn't try too hard to be like "oh look at that bad ass vampire and his bad ass partner in action, they fight bad guys and make out real hard." Okay they do make out real hard, they can't get enough of each other, but then what would you expect of a romance vampire novel?

I will admit that I liked it, it's better than Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, that's for sure. I loved the world that she built, it made me lift my eyebrows at its whole quirkiness. I know that most YA novelists want to write a fantasy creature that would cater to a teenage girl's hormones, the monsters in here aren't pretty. They do not sparkle or smell good. They are nasty and offend our human world. I liked that. They are also lonely and thirst for all of life's joys and pleasures, just like all of us naturally greedy and bored humans.

Endlessly is sort of a breathe of fresh air from the books that I have been reading lately. Although, I'm not sure if I will read the sequels since I am not a romance type. But I will look in to it and I'm reading C.V. Hunt's book, Hell's Waiting Room, and I am enjoying it, so you guys will see it soon on here.

Well, this book was certainly a surprise. I wasn't expecting much at all as it was a book that I picked up as a free copy from Amazon for my Kindle a couple of weeks ago but I have to admit that I really was pleasantly surprised.

This story is not your typical vampire story. I guess you could say it's more of a 'raw' vampire story rather than the stereotypical 'hollywood' ones that have been all over the place recently.

The story centres around a vampire named Verloren who has very human like tendencies such as being able to sleep and go out in sunlight as well as the ability to feel real emotions such as love for another being. This becomes apparent when a mysterious girl walks into his store one day and Verloren finds that he becomes infactuated with her and can't think of anything else.

What happens after this is a fast paced and interesting tale of an unconventional love story that conquers above all else.

What I loved about this book was that it brought practically every alternative being from other genres into the one story and managed to fit them all together rather nicely. In this book you'll not only find your typical vampires and werewolves but other mythical creatures such as fairies, trolls and witches all living together on earth in relative harmony.

All of these supernatural beings are controlled by a central head called The Quatre who determine the rules that they all have to abide by and pass on sentences to those that don't.

Although I must admit that I did see a lot of similarities between this book and some elements of the Sookie Stackhouse series and the Twilight books, I still found it an enjoyable read that definitely kept me interested until the very end.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the sequel.

Got this as a free e-book in Amazon. It's another vampire story but thankfully manages to spin it's own originality with the addition of the mythical dragons, vis a vis other popular supernatural characters like werewolves, witches, immortals, etc.

It's a pity though that the protagonist Verloren, a vampire who prefers to live among the human society, is not a character I'd root for. He has no attributes to really impress me, as far as main characters should. His one talent is seeing other beings' aura, and identifying them as human or otherwise. When Ashley walks in Verloren's shop, he was not just attracted but also piqued by her unidentifiable aura. As he helps Ashley reveal her true self, they begin to fear the Quatre, the ruling council of their world with a leader who takes power and destroys everything in the way to achieve total domination in both human and supernatural world.

The storyline is not bad, the surprises a welcome boost from the somewhat monotonous mood and style of storytelling. I guess it has enough intrigue but needs to pack more action to be considered engrossing. It ends neatly anyway, wrapping up the conflicts without leaving the readers hanging on what Ashley and Verloren's future would be like.

A whole new world of vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, fairies, trolls, and I was even introduced to some new species too. The book’s protagonist is Verloren, a vampire that not only has a beating heart but also breathes air and doesn’t sleep in coffins—or even underground for that matter. Typically, I struggle with male POV novels, so honestly it took me several chapters to adjust to seeing things Verloren’s way. The mystery behind Ash was enough to allure me through, and I was certainly glad I’d hung in there once her secret was revealed (totally didn’t see that one coming!). Ms. Hunt did a wonderful job leading us through her unique and witty world of preternatural beings and I would recommend this to anyone who loves a vampire story with a different kind of twist. I do wish Verloren would’ve shared more of those romantic scenes with us, I felt he cut us off a bit too quickly on a few of them leaving me wanting more—which I expected to eventually get, but didn’t. Hopefully I’ll get the romance I missed in the sequel to this book, Legacy (Endlessly #2).

This one has been on my list for a while, but I wasn't in any particular hurry to get to it.Very cheap off Amazon, the series has languished on my kindle for a bit.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this one unique, engrossing, and entertaining. Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, trolls, fairies, angels, all part of their own unique world, but living amongst humans. As long as they follow the rules. The Quatre, made up of four powerful incarnates, enforces the rules. But, as we all know, absolute power corrupts absolutely. And one member in particular has their own agenda.
Enter our unlikely hero, Verloren. A twenty-something(in human years) vampire,he has been on the wrong side of the Quatre before. And it looks like he will soon be again, thanks to his blossoming relationship with Ashley,a young woman standing on the threshold of coming into her other-worldly self.
I'm hoping the other two books in the series are as entertaining as Endlessly was.

I really enjoyed it. It's a tight novel that grabs you from the beginning and keeps a firm grip from page to page. It's a fantasy world of vampires and romance, but without the sparkles and sweetness that has recently overpowered the genre. Veloren is a nod to the undead creatures that we don't see enough of anymore. A Vampire that firmly fits in the canon of horror.

The author does what a real writer should do. Create an interesting, comfortable and uncomfortable world, and keep the reader fully engrossed in the story. An artistic weave of drama, action, romance and horror that rides like a rollercoaster.

It's a solid story in its own right, but the stage is set for a sequel. If your a fan of the paranormal and a sucker for romance, but want to curl up with a book that doesn't shy away from the blood and tension and sweat, I would recommend it.

I downloaded this book fee on Amazon.com for my Kindle. When I first started reading I was intrigued by the connection and pull Verloren felt towards Ashley, and I was also intrigued by what incarnate creature she would turn out to be. While I liked their story of finding out they have been Soul Mates throughout the centuries and all, once Ashley turned 'hybrid', the whole being a shifter into a dragon, and the whole vamp thrown in, I kinda lost my initial interest, and just finished to see where it ended. I liked the characters and found interesting that in this story it was the girl, Ashley, who seemd to have a one-track mind, and kept trying to get it on with Verloren; as opposed to this being how most males act in some books (and let's face it, real life). Overall it was a quick read & it was ok.
