These books are fascinating and heart wrenching. Excuse me while I continue to drown myself in all 75 volumes and ignore the world being on fire.

This volume starts different from the previous ones...with a new story that directly connects to the last one. There is a recap in the beginning which is unheard of in this series (at least by me)! Then it goes into a arson/murder case which is the covers theme! This was pretty good because as the story goes on...there are 4 potential suspects and I was not really able to figure out who the murderer was until the end...which made this very satisfying. The next story revolves around the Junior Detectives and a bunch of college kids. What starts off as an innocent camping trip turns into a murder mystery! The final story of this volume starts off with a child star hiring the Detective Moore to find his mother who abandoned him as a baby. What starts off as a story about just finding his mother quickly escalates to a murder mystery! I actually believe these children (including Detective Conan) would be scarred for life with seeing so many dead bodies and incidents! This volume concludes in an awesome way ending the case and leaving you very satisfied!

Conan belum selesai ya sampe sekarang. penasaran gimana perkembangannya sama organisasi jubah hitam, karena encounter nya sendiri tuh (dari marathon 10 jilid) cuma ada sekali. yg banyak justru kasus2 yg herannya tiap hari ada mulu 🫠
tapi ya tetep seru untuk diikuti, baik kisah cinta Ran-Shinichi, Heiji-Kazuha, Takagi-Sato, atau dinamika hubungan Kogoro dan istri, ayah-ibunya Shinichi, Ran-Sonoko, juga Ai Haibara dan petualangan geng detektif.
kayaknya harus berterima kasih sama Conan nih karena target 2024 reading challenge jadi berhasil terlampaui di detik2 akhir 🤣

this volume included so many cases that weren’t as entertaining as the ones before. ‘the red horse’ was crafty one but the next two cases were the same old conan-seinen-cases so yeah.
in “the red horse” case there was this little doll that Ran made that she believes if she hanged it outside the window it will not rain the next day. I kinda watched conan when this episode aired and i remember making that doll !
the next cases were okay. so hopefully the next volume will involve some development in the plot!

The Red Horse case was interesting, especially because the killer seemed to have copied the idea from The A.B.C. Murders. I had an inkling that Agatha Christie's famous book was the source - and I was right!
The false friendship story and the kid finding his mom were nice enough. One of the cute moments of this file was Ayumi trying to call Ai as Ai-chan. In the end, Ai did allow Ayumi to do so, but prevented Genta and Matsuhiko!

After the case with Heiji and the code is solved, Heiji and Kasua stay in town. Though there is someone who sets houses on fire. Suddenly there is a fire with someone getting killed. There is a main suspect but something seems to be off. Then the detetctive boys solve a case while camping and finally a child star looks for his mother who left him.

This is more of the same Detective Conan you’ve been reading all along. Lots to like. The finally mystery had a surprising murder weapon.

Ma che carino Conan vestito da pompiere...
Bisogna rendere merito ad Aoyama-sensei: riesce sempre a trovare un nuovo spunto per i suoi casi. Anche vero che non siamo neanche a metà della serie. Però l'episodio con l'attore bambino mi è piaciuto.

Splendido il caso del piromane, con un ingegnoso metodo per incendiare le abitazioni a distanza. Ho apprezzato anche il riferimento ad uno dei libri più belli di Agatha Christie.

As mentioned above, I am going to write a proper review for this soon, but I have a few books ahead of this one in the queue, so I cannot stop reading DC NOW! That's sacrilege. I have decided to read all the chapters available up to now (we are almost to 1000!) As you can see, I am totally fangirling over here and I don't care, because this is one of my favorite manga series, ever! But all of this aside, there are a few things I wanted to list so I don't need to go back and look everything up when I do finally sit down and write my fangirl review. ✌🏻

#1, I never call this CASE CLOSED. If you do, you're not a true fan of this series, so don't even bother reading my review or my personal opinions. I'm sorry if I offend you, but you offended me first by telling me you want to read CASE CLOSED or you just love Jimmy.
#2, as you can tell by #1, I read this online. I would never waste my money buying a manga series in english that cannot get the name correct and mess up the main characters to make it appear more "ENGLISH." I am so happy I don't run a blog and this isn't a review on Sailor Moon, #1, because I have a huge soap box tirade against DiC. I also don't think there is anything against reading something online. Comics, which is what manga are, are meant to be read and shared and sometimes paying over $10 is too much in my opinion. Plus, I read the newest chapters as soon as they are released from Japan, because I would never miss a release of DC. So this is my personal shout out to you translators from me, Thank You!

Caso "¿Eso Es una Liebre o un Caballo?": un caso bastante chulo, aunque inferior a bastantes de los de 5 capítulos. Se plantea muy bien la tensión y me gusta que haya varios culpables hasta cierto punto, además de utilizar la obra de Agatha Christie para redondear el caso. Aun así, no creo que sea especialmente destacable porque no aporta nada que no hayamos visto ya ni en el dúo Conan-Heiji ni en casos de piromanía. Además, el "plot twist" final es bastante innecesario.
Caso "Nos Vamos de Acampada (Sale Mal)": otro caso estándar. Ni muy malo ni muy bueno, únicamente un despliegue de la usual astucia de Aoyama. No sé hasta qué punto funciona el plan del asesino, pero supondremos que sí porque el autor está loco y suele comprobar estas tácticas de asesinato (espero que no con personas). El mensaje sobre la amistad y el dinero es lo mejor que me puedo llevar del tomo, por simple que sea, y siempre gusta ver a los putos críos haciéndose más amigos.
Caso "¿Has Visto a Mi Madre? Todavía Estoy Esperando Que Vuelva a Casa": parte de un muy buen planteamiento. Me gusta que Aoyama trate la maternidad con cierta emoción y que el caso no se acobarde ante el cuerpo desnudo porque, de este modo, Aoyama no se limita en los tipos de asesinatos posibles en este manga tan largo. Eso sí: lo del lunar ensangrentado es un poco una gilipollez difícil de creer y excesivamente casual para el espacio que plantea. Por cierto, me sorprendo a mí mismo habiendo resuelto gran parte del caso; eso indica que o ese día me había levantado con buen pie o que las pistas eran muy claras. De todos modos, el arma del crimen es bastante imaginativa y mola que sea específico de la época en que se escribió.

In this book, Conan and Heiji join Mouri in investigating a case of arson where everything's not as it seems, the kids are on a camping trip that gets interrupted by a murder and Mouri gets hired by a child star to find his birth mother.
It's hard for me to pick a favorite here, since all three of these are actually really strong, enjoyable tales. All three actually have a bit of emotional resonance - with one of the suspects in the first case, with one of the campers (and with Ai) in the second and with both the child and the mother in the last. I think it's one of my favorite volumes of this series.

A somewhat interesting series of mysteries. The characters are far less interesting then the mysteries.

More good mysteries, the ones about the friends who weren't really friends was just plain sad. I really enjoyed the one about the child star and the fires though!
