Tropes: omegaverse romance, why choose MFMMM, father and sons in the harem, age gap, bodyguards.
I wasn’t into this book, and I’m not sure if I just wasn’t in the right mood for it or if it was because I didn’t read the previous ones. I was confused at times so I felt like I missed some pieces out, but then again I forced myself to keep reading it, so maybe it was my fault and somewhere along the way I got distracted.
I started this book because I was intrigued by the idea of father and sons in the same harem, but I was expecting something different, maybe a little bit of angst about it or something, so again, maybe it’s on me, but I really didn’t like the way the author managed it.
It also felt like Cyrus, Hayes, Weston and Sterling weren’t parent and sons, does it make sense? The guys sometimes referred to Cyrus by his first name, and really, when they were all together doing the dirt with their omega, they didn’t seem faced in the slightest, which is weird, and they don’t even mention at least once how strange the situation is. They were like “Oh she’s my mate, who cares I’m having a foursome with my father/children”.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it in me to finish it. I was able to go through the 75% of the book, but then I realized I wasn’t even curious to see how the story ended so it was time to just give it up.
I'm thinking about giving it another shot in the future, but we'll see.
