This was a good fun and spicy novella and really brought back the 🥵🥵 and excitement from the original book. I enjoyed catching up with them! I do however wish at some point we’d have gotten Jackson’s POV! That would have been great!!!

Holy. If you’ve been obsessing over Jackson like I have, then you need to read Mine. You don’t need to read Control first - but why wouldn’t you?!? 🤣

We get to see Jackson and Charlotte several years down the road busy with work and their daughter. Jackson has a private dinner he’s catering for on Valentine’s Day and is bummed he doesn’t get to spend it with Charlotte. But Charlotte she has a few plans of her own, even though we all know who’s really in control..🥴

This novella is HOT. Jackson is a whole other level. He’s intense, scary, scary hot but then the sweetest guy ever. Jade nailed it with their Valentine’s date night. I will never not want to read these two.

I'm just going to come right out and say it. I absolutely LOATHE Jackson. I didn't care for him in the first book because of some of the lines that were crossed, and I don't like him in this novella.

It is one thing to role-play with your partner. It is another thing entirely to cross the line into abuse, and in my opinion, that is what he does.

Strike One - He takes her so hard that she bleeds. And he seems to get off on the fact that he has done so, even making her taste it.

Strike Two - Overlooking the fact that his hand is fisted so hard in her hair that it's painful, we have this literal excerpt from the book. "But then I scream out in agony at the pain of him throwing me into the bottom cabinet." I'm sorry being thrown into a cabinet is sexy now?

Strike Three - He doesn't properly prepare her at first for exactly how he wants to take her, using the pain in order to get her to do what he wants.

Now maybe for some people these points actually ARE sexy and a turn-on that they can easily overlook, but for me? I like my BDSM WITHOUT a side of DV thank you very much.

Whewwww baby, if realistic CNC is your jam then read this! Control doesn’t *have* to be read technically but your going to have a much better time if you read that novella first before you read Mine purely because you’ll get a better feel for their dynamic and because, hello Jackson 🥵

Mine follows their Valentine’s Day evening where Charlotte is planning a surprise for her Chef husband, she’s booked a meal under false names but um..not much eating gets done! 🤪

This is a fun, spicy as hell, the plot is smvt, short novella read..I can’t get enough of these two!!

Scary sexy spouse date

I always did love the love these two characters have for each other. While their love is not the kind everybody can handle, it’s nice to read about them after years together still doing the naughty scary things we all love to read about. Great mini read.
