This volume contains all the material from The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th Edition that relates to indexes and the work of indexing. Throughly updated to reflect current accepted practices, it is an indispensable guide for anyone preparing an index.
This is what my prof recommended us to read as an assignment. As a non-indexer, I actually find the book understandable without getting confused with some jargons. It's simple and I learned many things from it.
