This book was almost more useful for it's underlying process of finding entrepreneurship opportunities than the actual business suggestions it put forth. That being said, there were definitely some interesting ones that I may end up doing in one way or another.

Several years ago I read the paperback version of 101 weird ways to make money. I decided I wanted to read it again but, this time I read the audio book version.

I found it exciting to listen to all the different ways there are to make money from being a voice over actor, to selling usual foods, to gambling, to curb painting and lots of other ways to make money. I don't know how good the business are to get into since I have never tried any of them. I did find the ideas interesting.

I liked that Steve tells how to get started. And I also resources to learn about the business. The resources usually include a book and websites. Though some of the website address are not good anymore. Which is what you would expect with websites.

One thing that I learned was that Camels are milked which I did not know before reading 101 ways to make money. And other things I learned that is there is such a thing as spruce beer and coffee from animal poop.

101 Weird ways to make money had a lot of ideas for different ways to make money and got me excited thinking about different ways I could possibly make money.

If you are looking for fun, easy, quirky ideas for your own small business, this isn't the book for you. However, if you have an obscure talent or useful skill and want to know if it's marketable, this might be helpful. Otherwise, read this as a way to think, "People do that?" and learn some interesting careers.

Kinda quirky - but honestly, it was pretty fun. And inspired lots of different conversations with my husband. It was interesting to hear about crazy ideas and fun to hear about things each of us had done previously. There were some quirky ideas in there, but there were some really good ones too. The references were pretty good too. It took a while to read, cause we were listening together.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of this book's design with sections, 1 page description of each idea. I came away with at least 19 ideas out of this book that I want to explore and the resources provided to do so.

A blog turned into a book

This had some interesting ideas, but felt like I was reading a listicle. There was nothing wrong with the writing but few were practical.

Lots of great tips here. Certainly not a get rich quick scheme, just regular small businesses that can be started for next to nothing and you can start working out of your own home! May sound too good to be true, but, these are good solid business ideas here. One problem is that some of them are kinda gross, hence the sub-title, not much competition....

A must have for anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur!

I liked the ideas in this book. If was filled with a ton of different ideas. The ideas ranged from hard money making to the simple. You need to read this book open minded if you are looking for a weird way to make some money. I looked up a few of the online resources for the ideas he had and a some of them may pan out for me.

This was an "ok" book. Kind of gimmicky. I felt glad that I borrowed this from the library, because I'm pretty sure "write a book about 101 ways to make money" is one of the ways to make money. Some of the information was outdated, including websites. Not bad ideas, but you have to be that special kind of entrepreneurial anything-for-a-buck kind of person.

Not as weird as I thought it would be. I expected weirder jobs. The one listed where real life jobs that are just a bit off the beaten path. great for somebody looking for some inspiration. Quick no nonsense look at the job and how to learn more. I enjoyed reading it, it read almost like a story.

The book is more a collection of blog type articles but that doesn't make it any less interesting. There is a lot of valuable information in here for anyone wanting to pick up a side-job or venture.

Excellent source for job leads. He has a ton of jobs listed in the book & even other jobs that are similar to the main job in that segment. He gives a lot of websites and other ways to apply for the jobs and places to contact for getting more education for some jobs. I used a few of the leads. I got a job.
