When selecting materials, I (Bradford Morrow) did tend to favor narratives that touched upon the impossible. If there is anything that binds all these pieces together it is an embrace of enchantment, and an abiding interest in transformation, be it fantastical, fabular or miraculous.

Patrick McGrath was born in London and grew up near Broadmoor Hospital where his father was Medical Superintendent. He was educated at Stonyhurst College. He is a British novelist whose work has been categorized as gothic fiction. He is married to actress Maria Aitken and lives in New York City.

I finished Conjunctions #14 and my first reaction was to text a friend "okay, you have to read this." My second was "wait, maybe not, it gets dark." Patrick McGrath doesn't flinch, and I respect that. Perfect for readers who can handle the heavy stuff, a pass for anyone fragile this week.
