The night of Jasper and Poppie’s reunion ends with a first kiss, a black eye, and a new family member. After ten months apart, Poppie returns for Lewis’s wedding, arriving on the island in time for St. Patrick’s Day. On Gracie Island, any holiday that involves drinking is a big hit.
But just like the weather off the coast of Maine, Jasper and Poppie’s budding relationship is a bit unpredictable. The emotional mix of sunshine, fog, and rain keeps them both on their toes as they try to stay on course.
As Lewis’ wedding day approaches, stubbornness and hurt feelings threaten to ruin the day. Can Jasper and Poppie put their pride aside long enough to make it to the reception?
Follow Jasper and Poppie in the second Gracie Island Book as they navigate the rough waters of an unlikely relationship on a tiny island where everybody knows everybody and there are no secrets.
Leigh Spends her days with cute, sexy guys. Unfortunately, they’re on paper. But still, not a bad way to spend your day. She also writes about strong, independent women who can hold their own against these irresistible guys. She’s not a pure romance writer because she breaks the rules a bit. But that’s the fun part. Leigh’s stories have adventure, family relationships, and the struggles life throws at you sometimes. But boy always meets girl. They tussle a bit while they figure out what they really want. Then find their happily ever after, even though it might not be what they thought it was going to be. But the most amazing thing about this is, she does it all with a dog on her lap. Her muse may not be one of her book boyfriends. But a cute dog is the next best thing.
I enjoyed every moment of this book. Following Jasper and Poppie as their love story continues while life on the island goes through its ups and downs. It’s a wonderful cast of characters, an excellent story and setting. I have a hard time putting it down. Can’t wait for the next installment..
I really liked this whole story. Poppie was a headstrong young lady and she ofen didnt want to listen to Deputy Godspeed. If he said stay, She wanted to be full speed ahead. Never fear. they found a happy medium. You will enjoy this story.
We continue from book one. The relationship between Poppie and Jasper the Deputy gets very serious. With him asking her to move into his new house with him. He still has concerns about that relationship.
I loved this book! The story keeps you on your toes! The saying if it weren't for bad luck I would have no luck at all keeps coming to mind! I love Jasper and Poppie and their continued journey!
Characters were well structured and adorable for the most part. A tiny bit slow in some parts but I know it's because I just wanted to hurry through details I'd miss if I skipped over them. Loved the story. Now it's on to book three!
They have a lot of real life issues to deal with and learning to compromise. When something happens to separate them, will love be strong enough? I love the quirky island, the complicated people and their relationships.
This was so bland & blah. Not much happened; Poppie was annoying. I'm going to step back & read something else. Don't know yet if I'll come back to this series.
