Ah! So that’s how Alex meets Evie. The poor girl has no idea what can of worms her choice has just opened or that there’s two of them. Of course she only has to worry about Alex, but Daemon’s words would have an impact. Who knew that helping out your sister would lead to a night like this. Her heads not buried in the sand she knows what she does for a living, but actually being right in the midst of the action are two completely different things. As Alex and Daemon head to their father's Christmas party they may be twins but their mood couldn't be more different Alex contemplates on what their father is holding over his brother's head but knows he would never get him to spill, he also knows Daemon desperately needs to try and find a way embrace the past and live a little more or he is going to drown in the nightmares of their past.
On the other side of town as Evie comforts her older sister Blakely which is an odd turn of events for the two, but tonight Blake is too ill and can't go serve drinks for her boss at his Christmas party but they are too broke to afford missing the pay. Blake isn't comfortable sending her younger sister Evie into the world she works in every day but knows they have no choice and settles in by preparing her the best she can.
Evie spent as much time as she could prepping trays and hiding in the kitchen before another girl forced her out onto the floor, and being a new girl in a room full of horny men all eyes were on her. It didn't matter how much Blake prepared her it was worse and obviously not all of the employees took note to the not drinking with the guests or maybe it just helped them tolerate all the wondering hands. She was fine until someone turned aggressive once she was free she ran but was only able to find her way upstairs due to the crowd.
Alex goes looking for the girl he just helped get free from Grant's drunken grasp what he doesn't understand is why she is in his room. Then is absolutely furious to see her with his watch did she really come here to steal, does she not know who we are? But was that really what she was doing or just perception? Alex had seen her and had a few minutes to talk to her and thought she was different from the other girls his dad hired, but of course not instead of sex she is just a thief.
What will Evie tell her sister in regards to the only job that pays their bills? Will Blake still have a job or not since technically she wasn't the one there and did Evie try to still or not? What will happen between Alex and Evie if they both hold their ground?

What a way to start out Alex & Vixen!
If you would have told me I had to wait forever for Alex I would have said ok I’ll wait forever to have his story. And this little teaser was so perfect.
To everyone Alex may look like the life of the party but I can’t wait to see what’s underneath.
Vixen is the quiet girl but when her sister needs help she steps in. Yet I don’t think she was quiet ready for the atmosphere that she was walking into on this casino night.
Yet a chance encounter with this sinful knight might just be what she’s been waiting on.

I loved reading this novella and I just can't wait to read more about Alex and Evie . This story is a glimpse of what we can get from Alex and Evie's story . They have such a great chemistry. Alex was so confident and sure about who he is and his place in the world and what is his to take. Evie is not so sure about that. She steps up and replaces her sister on her job but she's so not ready for everything that happens . She's so out of her element there like some kind of Dark Cinderella and Alex is her Dark Prince . And he's intend to meet her again. And he so much misjudged her that I can't wait to see him grovelling. Because he's so going to fall for his Vixen .

I've said this in all of the books I listened to in this series: the setting should be college, not high school. High school makes the stories completely unbelievable.
This is my favorite couple in the series. Without spoilers, this is about a stripper and a prostitute, making it not for everyone.
Like all of the books in the series, this is instant love. Nothing kinky, and the spice is average.
I'm rounding this from a 4.25 to a 5. I may not listen to it again, but it's worth the credit.

Tracy has a gift for writing the worst characters that you can't imagine will ever get to a place of redemption, and then flipping you in your head, forcing you to forgive these guys and gals.

Well needless to say this book was short, spicy and definitely left me wanting more. I need to know a lot more about both Alex and Evie and what will happen next in their story. Evie's sister too intrigued me and I also want to know more about her and how she ended up working the job Evie ends up having to cover.

I adore Alex but this one didn't grab me as much as I expected it too. Read super quickly so I don't miss anything when I move onto Sinful trilogy and fingers crossed that'll live up to the hype of the others.

Audible. I’d say 3.5 stars. Definitely not needed but a good precursor. I’m assuming to the next book and draws me and gets me a little bit more interested as I was getting a little burnt out with the other books so we’ll see.
