13,000-year-old Paleolithic man wakes in modern day.

Jane Easton, a woman working to protect her world, has a team in the Arctic Circle drilling for ice core samples. When her team finds a group of Paleolithic men frozen in the ice for 13,000 years , they risk everything to recover the bodies while a dangerous Arctic storm rushes toward them.

They are shocked to find out during an examination that one of them awakens from his frozen sleep. They teach him the basics of their communication and attempt study him further. But, in reality, he is studying them.

Once the alien finds out the military is coming to investigate the discovery, he escapes in the middle of the snowstorm to reconnect with his ship. All the way, having to learn our language and navigate human society.

The ship’s AI system represents a giant leap in technology whose primary mission is to protect her pilot and his visitor. She informs him that a pathogen destroyed his civilization. He is the last of his race. Earth is in danger of having the same result once he reviews data collected by his ship.

Jane’s mission is to locate and protect him from our military, while his new mission is to prepare her to s ave her planet from being devastated and protect the legacy of his ancient friends.
