It's been awhile since I've read this book, but it's one of the rare ones that I actually kept. While I very much like studying spirituality, I tend to stay far away from religions and organizations of the sort. But - that doesn't mean I don't look there for sources of inspiration.

In this book, it doesn't go into Christianity the religion, it goes into Christ, the person. Not the regurgitated, manipulated, piece of poo that gets spoon fed to people...but the actual message that Christ was trying to give to people and/or the purpose behind the story of Christ.

When I read this years ago, I was able to actually lay aside my wounds of the christian church, and open myself back up to take another look at what was originally meant to be taught and learned from the religion before it was tainted. It helped me make peace with my interactions with the church from when I was smaller.

Sounds a bit much to put onto one book, I know, but it was just what I needed to edge over into that dawn of realization those many years ago. I wouldn't expect it to have the same affect on others, but nevertheless..this is about my opinion. So there it is. :-P

For anyone who wants to understand what is meant by the practice of "Christ consciousness." This book is about spirituality, not religion.

Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross says she studies this book like the Bible. I scoffed at that for many reasons before I read it. Now I totally agree with her. I will revisit this book regularly. It is how I long to love people and life.

I had this book recommended to me as research for a novel I was writing at the time. To be frank, it turned me off right from the start. The author chose to write the book in the first person as if Jesus himself were speaking to the reader. To me it came off as a pathetic attempt to lend additional support to the author’s thesis. No this is not Jesus speaking to you. He did not bless this author with some divine words or inspiration. It is an author spouting his theory on life hoping you will buy off on it.

One point the book made did sort of resonate with me: the idea that you are in control of how you interpret events that happen in your life. However, the authors assertion that nothing bad ever happens to you; you just choose to interpret it as bad is just plain ridiculous. My father died far too soon. There is no silver lining there. It was a profoundly bad thing that happened in my life. An elementary school got shot up by a raving lunatic last year – BAD; the end.

The rest of the book came across like a rambling string of bullshit I would expect to hear from Tom Cruise spouting off about Scientology while jumping up and down on a sofa during a talk show. Your consciousness can leave your body, if someone is mean to you it is because you aren't loving them enough, everything that happens to you is actually good if you interpret it the right way. Apparently I should hug the guy that mugs me at gun point. That kind of crap, and that pretty well encapsulates this book – Crap.

The author makes some good points on love and forgiveness, but the book is more geared toward those interested in New Age rather than Christianity.

This book was so good I read it way too fast. This is one that needs to be savored, so I'm going to have to reread it slowly and let it settle in my head. The point of view took some getting used to, it's written as though it is Christ speaking. The book is spiritual, but certainly doesn't endorse any organized religion, suggesting they all separate, rather than unite people.

I love this book, it teaches that forgiveness of self first, and being fully present in the moment is the key that will connect you the kingdom of heaven within you.

The blurb describing this book on this site starts: "This incredible book from Jesus..." That's a hefty statement to make and indicates channeling, altho the author denies that.

There are a lot of beautiful statements about love and for those who have reviewed this book and found some of the statements in it to be ridiculous, maybe it takes a different reading and perspective to get past superficial interpretations, cultural programming, and confirmed beliefs.

I didn't have a problem with the message in the book. What turned me off the book was the constant referral to "my Brother." I'm nobody's brother and reading this, I knew that the author was addressing men and these sections of the book were not for me. Altho the author made cursory attempts at including women - I think he used the term "my sister" a couple of times - this clearly shows that his book is intended for men. Since he was aware of using brother and sister - addressing gender - then he could have written his book to be inclusive of gender throughout the book. Friend or neighbor instead of Brother (which he liked to capitalize).

Looking for words to move you forward? This book is an easy read, but what it asks is not as easy. Like ACIM - it points out that "this is a required course everyone takes - sooner or later." Why wait? (It is Christ being channeled by Paul Ferrini. It feels authentic)

I was a little skeptical about what Paul was going to explain in his book. The title, "Reflections of the Christ Mind" kind of made me think, oh no, another preaching lesson in love, but I was overwhelmed of how he brings you into the book and helps you understand just how powerful Love really is.

I highly recommend reading this book and not only that but keeping it with you wherever you are. Pull it out and read a chapter or two and watch how your attitude and passion for being that loving person comes out in yourself and how you look at others.

A definite keeper and a Top-Shelf winner in my eyes...

Thanks Paul,

This book was recommended to me from a dear friend. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and although it started off ok, in the end I count Finnish the book. To me it gave the taste of an author trying to use another form of psychological manipulation in order to try and entice the reader towards his belief. The author does try to make it seem as if it's generalized, but it's obvious. I enjoy learning about different religion, but what I don't like is when they try to trick in into joining theirs. One should have a choice free of mind to do so.

I read this all the way through, but keep it on my nightstand because I pick it up regularly to digest bit by bit. It is the most beautiful full perspective of Christ’s love and full of thought provoking and inspiring phrases that always helps me find a deeper love for myself and for everyone else around me.

This book is small but powerful. It is about forgiving, unconditional love, and mostly, the book is about learning to forgive yourself and in so doing, forgiving and loving others. My explanation is to simple. A must read book for spiritual growth.

Don't be deceived. The image on the cover of Love Without Conditions is false: Christ came as a black male. And this book is inspired by an antichrist spirit.

I was looking for truth and help in my naivety during my college years. Maybe I was looking for a feel-good message, but I definitely didn't learn anything about the real Christ. I only got a New Age lullaby to put me to sleep with its feel-good drug. How can you write a book about Christ without teaching scripture? It was so good of a drug that I picked up another book he had written.

A black Christian upright male I knew in college asked to borrow the second book I bought, which was Return to the Garden: Reflections of the Christ Mind. I never saw it again. Today, as I wrote this review, I didn't even remember its title or if I had finished it at the time I let him borrow it. I only knew the color of the book and could only recognize it by the color of the cover online.

At first, I was confused as to why he would not return the book by the author I had spoken so highly of. But I was never angry with him because I respected him more than I respected the book. I later realized that while I was completely fooled, he never was. He got rid of that book to help me because he saw that what it was teaching was not helping me.

So, today, I am trying to do online what he boldly did for me so many years ago in person: take a book from you and never return it because it is part of the antichrist deception. And there are many who have the antichrist spirit (1 John 2:18). Hopefully, whatever you have read on its pages will be erased from your memory and you will open the Bible instead.

This will speak to your Soul

I am so glad I came across this book that was mentioned by a celebrity. I've been on my spiritual journey for a few months now, and soaking up as many books as I can to help find my purpose here.

I can honestly say this book has answered many of my questions and then some! I truly felt God speaking to me through the examples of my brothers choices in life. Some were spot on, it was scary! But, it made me understand that I cannot be the judge of my brothers actions. All I can do is continue to forgive and show love and compassion when he needs it most. We both never had a father figure in our lives and our mom wasn't around much either, so we never felt the kind of love most kids do from parents. This has been a Void in our hearts, but after reading this book, it brings more clarity and I am grateful for God presenting this book to me.

The most powerful message in this book for me was ,,"I can change my mind at any time." Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I picked this up at a coffee house about a year ago. I read it on a flight taking mom to the Mayo Clinic; it was not a difficult read.

It reminded me of things I should always remember, e.g. judgments made on others reflect what we hate about ourselves. So we must question why we fear the things others remind us about ourselves.

There's definitely more to this book, but that's what I needed most from it. Left it on the plane for someone else to find what they needed from it.

Freeing.
I did a meditation on each section usually in the morning and this allowed me to really internalize the messages during/throughout the day. It was insightful and gave me a different perspective on how I view God, myself, and of course how to love. But very beneficial. I definitely recommend if you can handle a perspective shift.

At times I was a bit lost in the deepness, but the overall theme of wholeness and love through Christ and not separating ourselves from wholeness and from others by abandoning our divinity is something that really moved me. In fact, this was one of the first times I thought I’d get a tattoo I could see daily to remind me of these beautiful ideas. Thought provoking, healing, and touching.
