This is the last of an eight book series, and showcases the best side of its part of the genre. The final showdown with the Dolus is underway, and no one is going to come out of this unscathed. A solid ending to a very entertaining series, this brings the story arc to a close with a series of resoundingly human touches.

Above-average writing, interesting and every-twisting plot, and reasonably realistic characters carry this series to the finish line. Highly recommended for the entertainment and recreational reading value, this was a satisfying romp through the stars.

BEYOND SOL is the wholly satisfying conclusion of an eight volume series that took the reader from silliness to adventure to horror to exciting ideas and fantastic places. The human as well as alien main characters were unique and somehow believable. This final book in the story arc was everything you want it to be!

Poor ending to a series

Book 7 wasn't great, this wasn't either, which is sad because the previous 6 had me hooked
The series seemed to lose it's way as it progressed into 7. By the end I was glad it was over
The characters were still good especially Salvo, Gunn and Regency, but I felt things could have been tied off better
