Whitney and Erica are step-sisters, Whitney is worth millions and Erica's father wants it. When their mother kills herself Erica finds away to escape he father. Whitney and Erica are trying to make lives for themself's when they meet men that will change their lives forever. Great story.
In “Road to Freedom” Sylvia Hubbard tells the story of two half sisters, both raised in the same household by a controlling father figure. Eric attempts to steal his step daughter Whitney’s inheritance, but Whitney escapes. Along the way to freedom, she is kidnapped by a desperate man who mistakes her for her sister, Erica. Meanwhile Erica has also escaped the clutches of her father. She lives out of an expensive car, takes showers in a homeless shelter and scrubs boats for enough money to eat. But then the fortunes of both sisters change. It’s a very good read, but an author who deserves more reader attention.
I loved the plot of this book. As each chapter passed, I found myself more and more interested in the lives of each character. The author did a good job of keeping the story flowing and adding enough suspense to make this a definite win. My biggest issue with this read is that the editing was poor in places. Names were incorrect, there were typos and misspelled words, and there was improper tense usage at times. While this was distracting, the book was still a very good read that I would recommend to others.
