Really great example of what an oral history can do. Appreciated how concise it was.

This tells the history and stages of the armenian genocide through the testimonies of genocide survivors. The excerpts of folk songs about the events that transpired was such a great inclusion. It made me think about how Armenians have used music, dance, and the arts to preserve history and memory.

It also gave me more information of what the genocide must have looked like in the specific villages my family came from. Heartbreaking but so important.

Short read, but so heavy. Glad I read it.
